Yep, I prefer sumo as well but it "suits" my body type better. Sumo relieves some stress off my back and hit my quads more, which I like. Conventional hits my lower back much more. As others have mentioned, with sumo the range of motion is less vs conventional. One thing I hate about sumo is the grip which is in th middle smooth part of the bar so the grip is very slippery. With conventional my grip is on the rough part of the bar so I get a better grip.
I do mix it up btwn the two but prefer sumo for the sake of my back.
