Like I said earlier your grip strength will help your other exercises. My grip used to fail when i was only workin with 305 in the begininng. Now it still doesn't fail doing reps on the rack with 575. The one and only time i used straps it hurt my wrist so bad i threw them in the trash it also weakened my bench on the next chest day. If i were you just deal with it and remember it will get better.
