My grip used to fail when i was only workin with 305 in the begininng. Now it still doesn't fail doing reps on the rack with 575. The one and only time i used straps it hurt my wrist so bad i threw them in the trash it also weakened my bench on the next chest day. If i were you just deal with it and remember it will get better.

Yes I'll do that. I did heavy shrugs yesterday without gloves and it was much better. Also did some farmer walks. I'll deadlift next monday again and try it without gloves too.
 
I can't even pull much weight on deads or cleans, but my hands hurt unless I use gloves. Call me a sissy but I prefer to not have dead skin on my hands either.
 
i had trouble getting 300lbs with my deads bc of my grip, so i just tried the one hand over and one hand under and it worked amazingly.

that's true. i like to use a double over hand grip, but when not using straps and going heavy i have to go over under. when using straps i go both over.
 
try buying the Ironmind Captains of Crush grippers. They're not the gay ones like you buy in the store. When I first started last year I didnt have anything crazy for a grip, but since using them, and closing the #3 my grip is just silly. I can grab full coke cans and explode them in one squeeze. Use those grippers for a few months and you wont have to worry about grip ever with lifts.
