Deep REM Sleep

Just letting you guys know that if you are not hitting deep REM sleep where you dream your body is not recharging and neurotransmitters are not getting rebuilt enough. It takes me about 1500mg of gaba, 6 mg of timed release melatonin, and 3mg of sublingual melatonin to knock me out if I have test prop in me. Otherwise I can usually get by with 1 3mg timed release melatonin if I am using test cyp. sleep well

In the past few months I've had some trouble with waking up after 3-4 hours of sleep. I tried both htp5 and melatonin in various combinations and dosages but it had no noticeable effect.

Any suggestions on staying asleep?

Cashout, I have experienced something similar to you. I tried both 3mg and 6mg of time released melatonin. It did not keep me asleep but I certainly felt groggy the next day.

I noticed the groggy feeling too. I almost felt like my head was "thick" for the first hour I was awake each day after the htp5 and melatonin.

ya i prefer to just use test cyp and sleep without the melatonin. a hard workout and sex will put me to sleep.

yeah i cant take 5htp due to migraines and it jacks my head up, but gaba or 500mlg of naprosyn, with some milk will put me out and man when i wake its like i took a vacation!

naprosyn is like generic aleve i believe!

Funny you say this!!
When i was on Anti depressants, i was dreaming almost every night, i had about 3-5 dreams a night.. when my mate stayed over i told him that they were dreaming tablets and he took one "LOL"... woke up the next day going WTF bro i had like 10dreams.. dream after dream LOL
he even asked me for some more!!! everytime he comes around he goes "dreaming tablets?" lol he has no idea they are anti-depressants ROFL
Goes around telling people i have dreaming tablets..

Anyway.. when i was on them.. i woke up feeling really GOOD all the time, now im off them i feel more sluggish again.
I dont take them anymore because without them they make me feel sick.. and i dont want to have to go through withdrawals again.

Same thing here. I can get to sleep pretty easy, but I wake up constantly. I usually only sleep about 5-6 hours per night, but lately, I am waking up 3-5 times / night. That makes it really hard to get any recuperative sleep. If you figure anything out that works to keep you asleep, please let me know as well.

timed release melatonin keeps me asleep. i don't know if using it long term is good for you but uhh...maybe a 5htp before bed to facilitate the melatonin conversion...melatonin downregulates DHT so we can get to sleep...so it does have a necessary function.

interesting mopar what is the science behind that? I am curious. not saying you are wrong i just like learning new things.
