DHT/Prostate/Gear ????? Serious help...

Ok, guys. Need the big hitters on the board for these questions...

STATS: 5'11" 205 lbs, 44 yrs old. Veteran of a few cycles now including deca/test, test/tren/dbol and several prohormone cycles a while back.....

SITUATION: Started TRT(200Cyp/week) about 2 yrs ago now thru my urologist. Developed BPH(non-cancerous prostate enlargement) about a yr ago. Started alpha-blocker therapy for it and even had to do a prostate biopsy(which was God-awful!! I will spare u the details!!! Luckily, as I said, it was benign) Problem is I"m still sympotmatic and we are considering adding Proscar, a DHT blocker, to the alpha-blocker therapy. Yes, the same Proscar(or Finasteride) used for hair loss. It would be long term therapy for prostate disease. I already shave my head so hair loss was an issue 10 yrs ago!! lol

Questions:

1. What AAS are DHT-based? I know Masteron and Anadrol are, but I'm sure there are more.

2. Will adding a DHT blocker like Proscar effect future cycles negatively?
NOTE: read old posts about not using Proscar for Deca cycles but they were not taking into account that Deca cycles now add Test to them.

3. What the hell does DHT do other than make your hair fall out and your prostate larger??!!!

4. Last, the obvious question....if I do begin Proscar in the future, should I not cycle with any DHT based steroids????

Thank you for your input. As you see, whenever prostate cancer is involved in a post, it is a serious question. Scared the life outta me.... I'm sure its in my future as I have a family history, but dont want it at 45! Thanks again for your information....

yes DHT have some worse effect on prostate for sure.

you can use proscar in futur cycle but also between cycle. it has a great effect on prostate. the dosage have to be confirmed tough. 1.25 to 2mg/day is good enough to block DHT well of times.

the interaction of DHT is hair loss and prostate have not been in study cause BB are concerned, ther's not clinic studys on how to use DHT correctly and avoid side effects.
it would necessary have humain BB volontier for this, and no BB would admit to use steroids at doctor team. however, ther plenty feedback about this subject. sorry i've no scientific explication for this phenomene.

you would avoid DHT steroids in the futur yes. of corse. anyway they have not effect than you can't find in 19-nor hormone like methenolone, nandrolone and some other.

EQ is derivative of testosterone, and trenbolone is a estrian hormone ( close of nandrolone structuraly talking).

a constant tutoring of your prostate is be concidered as a good idea.

I'm gonna stay away from Masteron since it its DHT based and DHT causes prostate enlargement(which I already have). I dont know what other AAS are DHT based besides Anadrol. I've been researching and reading the steroid profiles on this site and others. Not sure what to do....

Wanna do a Test/Bold cycle in the spring. Maybe with a kick-start of some D-bol. Any feedback if this is "prostate friendly" anyone?????

Yes prodded and finasteride are great for prostate when it comes to dht. I'll add a small amount to cycles just as a preventative method.

IMO stay away from primo, masteron, proviron, Winstrol (winny). You can use it without issues on cycles. Basically with deca, it's ok to use for your need, but If it were for hairloss, it basically wouldn't work to prevent hairloss but for your needs it's fine.

Dutasteride seems to block dht in muscle as well as the scalp and prostate.

so User what yoiu are saying,is if you have prostate problems stay away from masteron? what if you've just had some prostate infections before and enlargement prostate while you have your infection? but other than that when your infection is gone,could you be safe taking masteron?

All steroids have androgenic properties. Doesn't matter whether they are related to DHT or not. You want to you use steroids which are mostly anabolic and not very androgenic like deca.

Also formestane is a 5-ar inhibitor in the prostate.

So, after more research, it appears even MORE AAS are DHT based then just Anadrol and Masteron.... Also, Anavar and Winstrol (winny) are also DHT based!!

What the hell AAS and NOT DHT based??!!! Looks like Deca, EQ, Dbol, and Tren.... I did Tren once before with horrible sides. So it looks like I'm gonna try Test/EQ cycle next with a kickstart of Dbol. We'll see how the prostate likes this. I'm quite concerned. Can always stop cycle if condition worsens, I guess...........

Dbol and Test are going to be pretty androgenic. I would use a short ester of Testosterone just in case as the Dbol and short estered Test can clear quickly if any problems arise.

Deca is really your best bet of a prostate friendly steroid... however, shit lasts a while in the system with the decanoate ester so if you choose Deca, grab some Nandrolone phenylpropionate instead. It will clear quicker if any problems arise.
