MPB with or without Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) is more a matter of genetics than anything else. Steriods just seem to speed the inevitable.

MBP runs in families, if your father, uncles etc. are bald, there is little that you can do to prevent it. Topical spironlactone seems to slow down the process though. I personally use the Nioxin products and like them.

Supposedly, baldness is carried on the X chromosome, so if you are male, look to your mom's side of the family. Are the men on her side of the family balding? If so, you have a very good chance of going bald as well. Also, if any of the women on that side have thinning hair, then you are more or less guaranteed to go bald.

i dunno if mpb runs in my mums family or not ,,and none of my dads family is bald and actually have a head full of hair till now ,,just a slight thinning in the crown area which i only can notice ,,i am off cycle for maybe 4 months now and i still loose hair and i dunno why is that ?? i didnt use to loose hair before using gear and i am not supposed to loose when off ,,i mean people even tend to use short esters if sides are a concern so that when they stop the sides will quickly disappear but that doesnt seem to be the case ,,i am looking forward for running a deca test cycle and was worried about hairloss cause i dont want to fuck with my dht levels like forever after the cycle..peace

A lot of people lose hair when off cycle, because the compounds they used weakened the hair follicles. One big misconception is that if hair loss is to occur, it will only occur while you're on a cycle.
Btw, forget topical spironolactone, unless you want to lower your testosterone levels and increase estrogen.

That's interesting I know oral spironolactone taking in doses to lower bp can raise estrogen over a peroid of time but I haven't seen any research to suggest that topical spiro used to prevent hairloss has this implication. Could you provide some research please?

Read the thread I started on 9-24-2005 entilted 'Important warning about topically applied spironolactone'.

I read the thread I didn't see any conclusive evidence to suggest that topical spiro used alone effects androgen levels in healthy males. The studies that you posted cited oral use, which I already stated has been seen in some studies to lower androgen levels (some studies also show no change). As far as studies with post menapausal women using oral spiro, I don't see any connection. You state that you used 1 application of topical spiro and in 24 hours it lowered your test dramatically, I don't believe that is medically possible. I believe that it's far more likely that your test results was skewed.

You can believe what you like, but I have the before and after blood tests to prove it. In my case, it lowered my test levels very quickly. My friend also carried out the same experiment using Dr Lee's topical spironolactone and after a week of application, his test levels were below the normal range and his estradiol was through the roof.
There definitely needs to be more studies done on this shit!

I can only tell you what works for me:
I use 1mg of generic Dutasteride while on every cycle starting with day one and until two weeks after last injection.
That's how I run it and my hairloss has stopped!
Dutasteride stays in your system for quite some time, so it will still keep DHT levels down a few weeks after you stopped using it!

I agree with liftsiron. Nioxin is a great product for hairloss. Just make sure you buy the Kit. This is my approach to hair loss. It is all about genetics. If your prone to caner, hypertension, hairloss, etc because it runs in the family steroids will just speed up the process. It doesnt mean that you will have these diseases or sides but like i said steroids will just speed up the process of getting. In regards to hairloss, there is no product or drug on earth that can stop a receeding hair line. For MPB, you do have options which I am using but its very high maintenance and costly. This is the best stack for hair loss

Propecia + Rogaine 5% (if you can handle it), (2% if you cant ) + Nizoral Shampoo + Nioxin = Success to combat Hairloss

In the clinical studies for Propecia, what I got from Mercks website is that all the ppl who who using Propecia for the study were on Nizoral the entire time. I just found that out yesterday, so I havent started Nizoral yet but I am going to buy it today when i refill my prescription for Propecia from Walgreens. As far as Rogaine, my scalp couldnt handle the extra strengh 5% minoxidal. I had severe itching and buring scalp which is some of the sides of the EX rogaine. With 2 %, I have no problem. So again to combat MPB, stick with Rogaine, Propecia, Nizoral and yes Nioxin is good.
