Are you doing ABVD chemo?
Luckily 80+% of patients are cured by this line of chemo for hodgkins.
Did you have B symptoms?
My avi was prior to cancer, i had tumors in my chest, lungs, and up my sternum.
most likely you'll do 6 months of abvd and MAYBE some radiation, so it wont be too terrible.

I originally lost nearly 35lbs FROM the cancer. So when i started chemo i felt so much better and actually was able to go to the gym.
Everyone handles each chemo differently, personally felt abvd was easy, but many struggle.

I was primary refractory. Meaning the ABVD stopped working midway through treatment. Hopefully you will not go through what ive gone through. Its been a long and tough 3 years.
I did ABVD for 4 months
GemOx for 4 months
Brentuximab for 2 months
Went on a clinical trial of Pembrolizumab and AFM13 for about a year.
20 rounds of radiation and then more pembrolizumab before having my bone marrow transplant which my brother was a donor for.
I can basically answer any question you have.

Hey guys
Been awhile but still at the gym till being diagnosed with hopgkins lymphoma I few weeks ago after they did a biopsy on a lump on my armpit
It happened 7 months a ago a small lump was under my armpit and played it off as a tear or something then a few months ago it got really big that***8217;s when I knew something was wrong
It def sucks at 39 being told u have cancer
Still working in the process but the gym has came to a hault after being diagnosed with cancer
I have a ct scan tomorrow to see what stage I***8217;m at and then start chemo after that
Just wanted to share with u guys life is to short and live it while u can
Thanks

Were here for you Matt hope it all goes well and you can get through it well.

Yes ABVD chemo
Jesus bro u have been through alot
I don't know but I can only imagine so I am diagnosed with stage b they never mentioned anything other then being at stage 3
I'm early in chemo but just noticed the anti nauseous pills effect my stomach at times like almost a gut rot feeling
The mass tumor under one of my armpits was 19mm so they said it will break down pretty quick on chemo so they have me this curtain medication I take once a day to combat the stuff from brewing in my bloodstream

But probably like yourself the way u felt being off the gym now for a few months I feel my gains are diminishing either it looks like I am getting fat and muscle mass is diminishing too

Its only temporary.

Gotta start thinking about the bigger picture. More to life than gains and muscle mass.
