Does Deca only mask joint pain?

I know deca helps alleviate joint pain, but is it only masking it? or is it actually providing some sort of lubrication that may prevent further deterioration?

It increases synovial fluid in the joints. In other words it kind of lubricates them. But once you come off the Nandrolone the pain will return.
