3 times per week right now--

when i got sick i lost alot of size in my legs -

so i split them up

wednesday-- hams-- sldl ,curls lying down and standing up
friday -- quads basic-- squats, reverse hacks, leg press
sunday -- shaping stuff-- extensions, step ups and lunges--

anyone else split up there routines for bodyparts you want to improve

I do. I work quads one day and hams another. This way I can put full effort into both parts of the leg. I look at the same way as back and chest, bis and tris, or any opposing muscles.

Legs only once per week for now cause I do like to work them hard. Plus I walk 3-4 miles 2 or 3 times a week. Anymore then that and I feel I'm over training them. Hell I need at least 2 days to recover and work out the soreness. :)

I haven't split up legs, but I used to split up shoulders into a push day and a pull day, with presses and laterals on the push day, rear delts and shrugs on the pull day

Hey man word of advice, don't train legs more than once a week, counterproductive. Once every 6-7 days. If you train them right, 2 presses (go heavy), 1 extension/lunge, you shouldn't be able to walk for a few days. Try it out man, and if you can handle training legs 3 times a week, then you're not training them right. BTW, try Hams and quads on separate days. I, personally do Quads/Calves, and then Shoulders with Hams. Good luck

If i want to do deads and squats in the same week, i cannot split up hams and quads and back enough to be fresh enough to hit it as hard as i want to. I have tried, i hate deadifting when sore from either hams or quads.

i'm the same way. i have to concentrate the damage :) to just one day per week so i can do other complimentary exercises and cardio the other 6 days.

If I did this right now I think I woudl die. It hard enough to walk with the low back Dbol pumps, I don't know if I could handle squats and deads.

I normally do legs only once a week. Once in a while though, I'll split my quads and hams up though for a change.:)

Holy shi'te House. I train once/week, balls out and am sore for several days but my knees couldn't take anymore than that (no cartiliage under the 'caps). I have split the emphasis before i.e. start with quads one week, hammies the next, etc. As for squats and deads same day, hell yeah, great PL routine!

I train my legs 3x a week, along with every other part of my body.

My quads have been blowing up as of late, I have been alternating between deads and squats, I don't think my back could handle both 3x a week.

Damn there are some highvolume guys on this site....lol

Hey whatever works I guess.....

I train legs once a week on a BB routine. I train squats twice a week when on a WSB routine (1 ME and 1 DE)

My normal routine is hams on Tues and quads on Thurs. That way I can dedicate all my strength and energy to hams, and then again for my quads. When I do them the same day, I feel like shit, and I feel like I don't give enough energy towards whatever muscle I do last.

I do legs 2x/week but with a different routine. I will go very heavy early in the week for mass and strength. Later in the week I use the "girlie" machine to work on hip flexors, abductors, and adductors with higher reps and less sets overall.

I split my legs Quads and calve followed by back and hams the next day. Between those two days I can't walk for the next 5 days. I think you are going overboard with 3x per week. Too much recruitment of the same muscles via different exercises.
