Dr had me take Growth Hormone Test

Hey guys question for anyone if anyone know how to read these things..I just recieved my results back for Growth Hormone Serum my Urologist wanted to have me take..I am already on TRT and have been for some time (self administer weekly)..The results for the hormone came back at 0.1 for serum with scale from 0.0-10-0..Is this normal or on low side, never dealt with this test before...thanks in advance....Age-49 and in gym 6 days a week so completely healthy and on 3J diet as well for sometime...thanks in advance..

IMO it's meaningless. GH seems to be secreted in pulses so you may well have next to zero at the time the test is taken and be perfectly normal. Id love to know why he ordered that test.

That being said I would love to be prescribed GH by a doctor...maybe its low and you are in desperate need of treatment.

He wanted to look at this with the possibility of putting me on it he said and wanted to see where this was at...I do blood work every 3 months because of TRT with him and he wanted to throw this test in as well....I will find out what he says once I go back to him, you could be right might mean absolutely nothing....

Hey if that's the case I'd play it up for all it's worth and then some. I'm getting a hard on just thinking about insurance paying for hGH...

Good luck with it. Maybe someone smarter than me will come along and explain how that level is significant in a medical sense. What little I know about GH levels is what I've learned trying to catch it after injecting GH. From what I've experienced, it doesn't stick around in your system long at all. I think IGF-1 is supposed to be a little better for diagnosing issues with GH levels as it correlates to GH level and is a bit more persistent.

I don't think I can get more jealous of your situation. I'm on a waiting list to see an endocrinologist that does HGH as part of TRT protocols, and have had to do some serious footwork to get there. Damn!

Halfwit I never brought it up to him he did with my protocol right out of the blue and I got extremely excited but had to hide my emotions.. I just played dumb and went along and said I read about it etc.. I will let you guys know how this tale ends up......
