So I have been going to the low T center for what will be two weeks, and after looking at my insurance they are not going to cover my low T visits. I called my insurance and got a new PCP, and got a pretty cool one. I brought my labs, and She went over the entire tropical rambling.. I said no way.. She said she wants to have an Endo look at me, but she said she thinks it is my weight. I said at 135 and low Estrogen levels, I dont think so. She seemed a little puzzled that I knew a little bit, thats when the endo dr came in. Here is the kicker....

What if I get an endo that doesnt like TRT, or I end up not getting prescribed it. I have this think going with the low T center, should I keep going there just in case? Should I put this 10ml cyp bottle up, and save it for emergencies?

Should I raise my dose to 250mg a week, and try to get back to where I was in the gym?

I guess I am just wondering what experiences you guys have had with ENDOS, and what I should expect.

You will be fine. Just help guide him to the right answer. Be prepared, but you need to stop worrying about every possible bad situation. You worry too much about stuff out of your control. Focus on what you can control.

I hope to god you find a good endo. Don't start your protocol till you know what will come of the visit with him.
you don't want to start and stop therapies with b.s. from ppl that don't know what they are doing.
why are you talking about doses of 250 mg a week?
That's not TRT...atleast not off the bat.
1 vial will do nothing. You start shooting that...then what?
Wheres the refill, has it been secured?
The endo could very likely show you the door or use clomid or Androgel on you.

Keep looking for a new doctor. You'll eventually find one that had a clue. Till then I'd stick with the TRT center.

My .02c :)

Yep that was my number when I started trt

At that number it would be malpractice to not treat you, it is clearly Hypogonadism, mine was 144. How they treat you is up to them of course. Just tell them what you want and why you want it. Back it up with data if they are willing to listen. If not, go find another one. Eventually you will find one.

My endo initially wanted me on the cream/gel. I said no, I want to self inject. My wife is a nurse and she can show me how. He originally wanted me to do once a week shots, but since I was doing them at home anyway there was no reason not to let me do 2x. He was skeptical of me initially, but once I showed him I was educated on the matter, and able to speak intelligently about it, he was willing to listen. No one is going to advocate for your health except you.

He didn't ever monitor Estradiol, but started monitoring mine cause I asked him, and was willing to go find another doctor if he said no. It helps a lot that I found a younger guy not as set in his ways and looking to build his practice. Thats a doctor way more likely to listen than not.

This was the 3rd Doctor I saw, I was ready to go the TRT clinic route, but using my HMO is less than 1/10th of the cost, so the extra effort was worth it for me.

Yep, and since the Dr that referred me has already given me a 10ml bottle I don't see that he has a choice

Yes he does. He can say "ok your doctor looks like she has a handle on this, and I would prescribe the same thing"....
This gets you out of his door and off his back.
If your GP wants to treat you then she can.

I think she wanted him to review the labs and maybe do some additional labs. She was really worried about my age, and the fact that I would have to be on medication for such a long time.

Fact of the matter is she probably doesn't know what shes doing but atleast she's doing something. As far as the endo he might say screw TRT and try clomid or HCG....
Nothings certain. I'm sure he will do his information gathering on the first appointment, maybe base his opinion on that. When do you see him?
You started the TRT yet?
Whatever you say don't talk about physique or bodybuilding to him. Only the symptoms you are feeling. No opinions.
