E2 blood test while taking clomid

I switched from androgel to 100 mg of test C three weeks ago. My E2 must not be right. Both times I had it tested, I was taking clomid 2 times a week. A guy on another forum says that you cannot get reliable E2 results when you are on clomid. I am scheduled for an appointment tomorrow to draw blood. I have not taken clomid in two weeks. Should I wait a little longer to draw blood?

The half-life of clomid is 5-7 days, so there will be some in your system... 15 to 25 percent. I'm sure that clomid can affect E2 in some way, but i have not heard that it somehow invalidates the test.

Why do you conclude your E2 wasn't right? what was it?

Cause libido has been in toilet for months. The other night, I had night time wood for first time in months, only by increasing arimidex dose. I believe it's to high. I'm very irritable.

Something about it blocking E2 receptors so you can't get an accurate reading.

The blood test measure blood serum levels. It has nothing to do with receptors. The blood test will give you an accurate result despite being on a SERM.

Ok, thanks. I'll keep the appointment then. I'm getting total T, E2, and prolactin checked.

Going to ask about HCG too. I been doing the TRT thing for 7 months, and my balls have not shriveled up, so that might have been the clomid.

EZ: you are all over the place. Restarts. TRT. Clomid while on TRT. HCG. And so on. Get a game plan and give it enough time to work.

Clomid doesn't shrink balls. It should never have been prescribed as an on TRT method of maintaining testes function.

EZ you lost me ages ago. I thought you were going to give the wellbutrin a try or was that the clomid restart?
I do remember u were on Androgel with a hefty dose of ADEX that lowered your E2.
When did you start the T cyp?
I thought u said you were going to restart with clomid a few dsys ago???

I know apollon, I am. It's been frustrating, I have felt like giving up a number times. I think my E2 has only been in the zone for only a weeks in all this time on TRT. I'm glad I'm getting it checked tomorrow to see where the heck I'm at. I suspect it is high. The only time I felt in the zone, I had to take a lot of arimidex. I must be one of those guys who converts T easily. Thanks.

I started test c three weeks ago, because I ran out of androgel, had to wait for reapproval. I am on Wellbutrin, but the lexapro worked a whole lot better the depression.

It was my idea to try a restart, not the doctors. Because I don't have a lot of confidence in him, being he is the one that had me on TRT and clomid. I decided to give this TRT a chance again, so I haven't stopped.

You need to give a protocol time to work. Make small adjustments. Try to change only one variable at a time. Otherwise you will have a REALLY hard time getting dialed in. Sounds like you need to be a little smarter about this and more patient with TRT. It took me a good year before I got dialed in.

Yes, I really do. I thought I was going to feel immediate results. Plus I got to doubting if I really needed to be on TRT. But the one thing I have noticed is I was able to put muscle on! And I have never been able to see any gains in the past, so this is a positive. I'm going to stick with it for at least a year, and hopefully, I will be able to get dialed in!
