Dude let me tell you guys, I friggn love to eat, However things are a little tight on the budget this month though.. Anyone got any clean eating on a budget tips?

buying in bulk is always key.. canned tuna is cheap.. costco or sams club chicken tenders are also great..

you have to buy in bulk.. and make sure you use it all

Yeah dont worry about the using it all part, lol. Man I love eating.. But I dont feel I been eating enough.. Maybe over training to. Im getting older muscle isnt healing as fast.. Not sure what it is for sure. I mean obviously gains eventually gonna slow down but it seems I got a couple teps weaker and fat isnt just peeling off anymore.. so sad

you should look into getting your diet professionally made for you..

i do have a kick ass deal going on right now

I hear you and looked into your services already, I dont have the money right now but I do believe that im gonna do a cycle pretty soon so I have included you in on that budget diet, training and gear. Im anxious to see what kinda transformation will occur in a militant 6 - 9 month stretch. I feel I train and diet well now, but when you put some money and someone else your accountable to in the mix im thinking I should be good for the summer

Whey, almond milk, rice, tuna, ground beef, chicken, oats, green beans, and eggs. Those are my main staples and are actually pretty cheap. Of course the bill skyrockets when we start picking up the steaks and fish, but you can get by with much less and still be eating healthy.

Yummmm steak! Lol. Yeah that looks very similar to my shopping list, minus the Almond Milk, thats something ill definitely try. And Costco, yup my work out partner and I have been talking about it... But still shopping at (dont laugh) Target.. Hey they are right by home.. But yeah no more sacrificing variety and price for convenience

I'm not a fan of Walmart in principle, but I find their prices are pretty close to Costco (at least here in Canada) especially if I factor in 45 minutes round trip driving time and intangible sanity benefit of 25 minutes less waiting in line like cattle at Costco

I buy chicken breast 12lb at a time for only $12. Eggs for pretty cheep. Buying bulk is the best way to go and you and prep alot at once.

When I was in college I used to make 10lb chili.

10lbs of ground beef ($30)
10lbs of chili beans ($no idea, but cheap if you buy them dry)
Onion/bell pepper if you like ($5)
Chili powder ($3)

Cook that and it could be every meal for 4 days. 4,000 grams of protein--mostly beef, some beans. Want variety--toss it on a hotdog, or over corn chips smothered in cheese.

Good for you? Eh...debatable. Bulk-o-matic meal? You bet.

You will probably be out the door at $60 bucks. Freeze it, and it will last longer.

My girls dad raises chickens so we get really cheap eggs n the yolks are a real dark orange n taste great. He feeds the chickens all organic foods.

Great in a crockpot too! Last for days!

Here in canada a lb of S/B chicken breast cost $7, so 12lb would come out to $84, you guys have no idea how expensive food is in canada, its fuking ridicoulus, Dont even get me started on the organic chicken breasts, they are $11 a pound, lol, fuking insane, same with eggs, a dozen of organic eggs are close to $7 sometimes $6. Only thing thats cheap is tuna which is $1.40 a can.

yes bulk buying is the key, and get the basics, Flour, Cake Flour, White Bread Flour, Whole Wheat Bread Flour, Amaranth Flour, Barley Flour, Buckwheat Flour, White Rice Flour, Brown Rice Flour, Arrowroot Flour, Potato Flour, Potato Starch Flour, Almond Flour, Corn Flour, Self-Rising Flour, you can make a ton of things like breads, pastas to offset your meals, try each one and see which ones work best for you, they will certainly lower your cost.

Try superstore for tuna, noname cans are either $0.69 (on sale) or .99 on bad days

Variety is where the lack of discipline comes from during dieting. Once you get to the point that you can eat the same thing for ten days because you think about food as fuel, not pleasure, you will find success.

I have seen so many bodybuilding/cutting diets that stand no chance of success because of the level of complexity required in making a culinary delight. Once you can eat something for its designed purpose, rather than its taste, then you can diversify to find what few pleasures that are to be had in a cutting diet.

Admittedly I'm not the one who came up with the idea but I love vanilla ice-cream as a filler when bulking...and if want to get really fancy you put it in a blender with chocolate protein powder...

Edit:

And cottage cheese, superstore brand is cheap (canada again) only downsides are gross texture, weird smell, bad taste, worse after-taste, mentally unappealing, and high sodium content. Other than that its g2g
