Elbow/forearm pain..

MP5

The Cooler
When I am doing curls, I get a sharp pain in the forearm where it ties into my elbow. I notice is most when I do a standard dumbell curl, and supinate.

I have had this pain for like 3 months. It won't go away, and seems to have gotten worse. I even took time off from the gym, and it didn't go away. Doesn't do it on tri excercises, only curls. I could not even curl a 30 pounder the other day without pain.

Any input?

well, this happened to me. I was getting the same type pain in the same location. I just worked though the pain and it eventually got to where I was feeling it while benching, tricep routines, etc.. It became bad enough to send me to my doc and with mri, ct scan, xrays it showed i developed bone spurs and some arthritis in the 'bows. sucks, been out of the gym for 2 months now, got off the cycle, etc.. He gave me some strong anti inflammies and it seems to be working..so i'll be getting my next cycle ready soon..you might wanna get with you doc MP and get some test done and nip it at this stage rather than work through it like i did and make it worse.jmo. word.

thanks. I know i had spurs on the back, because it hurt when i did tris. He told me the worst thing to do was quit working it. I was told to do light weights, lots of reps. It finally went away, but this won't. Sucks.

I had it in my right elbow as well but the inner part, i got it from squatting alot of weight, i couldnt press overhead or bench, it really sucked, it was from taking dbol as that increased my strength too fast. at the end of a workout i would curl a light dumbell for many reps as blood helps it but it wasnt until i quit workout out for a long time that it went away.

It sounds like a problem I used to have...."tennis elbow." I think I got it from letting the weight fall on curls (instead of slowly lowering) and the elbow hyperextended some.
Tennis Elbow

work on A LOT of Forearm stretching both slowly bending your wrist both forwards and backwards, this will help release some of the tension. Your muscles and tendons may be veyr tight. A friend of mine had that same problem and he did thorough stretching for quite a while and it healed itself

Thanks for the input...

Sicky, mine hurts on the inner part of the elbow, not the outer.

Ironically, it is in my right arm, which I call my "good arm."

I had a partial wrist fusion done on my left wrist, and even dislocated my left elbow in the past. It seldom gives me trouble...figures.
