Endo says: ""High Estrogen is Un-treatable, Arimidex sounds like it's only for women"

Endo says: ""High Estrogen is Un-treatable, Arimidex sounds like it's only for women"

So I just came from my Endo's office, where he looked at my labs, my Free Test is at 50.3 pmol/L (which I think is 503 ng/dl) and my Estradiol is at 290 pmol/L according to the lab range for an adult male should be < 157.

My Endo said he never checks for Estradiol because it's "not relevant to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at all." I actually got the Estradiol done myself by another doctor, and brought my Endo the report from the lab to add to his records. I asked him about an Aromatase inhibitor (AI), he said What? I said an aromatase inhibitor and he said What? I said Anastrozole/Arimidex and he said What? For a moment I thought "Stone Cold" Steve Austin had become an endocrinologist.

He then told me, "High Estrogen is Un-treatable no matter what the internet tells you". He said 50.3 pmol/L is a perfect Free Test level, so he will keep me at the same amount of Test for 6 months and see me again.

This was the same man who told me Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) was probably illegal in Canada, and he would not prescribe, said testicular atrophy was a cosmetic issue and that if I wanted to have kids I should look into sperm donation.

I had Low T, starting number was like 250 ng/dl, so I appreciate the Test Cyp, but I now have high estrogen and testicular atrophy and still feel like shit. Still waiting to see a urologist about my varicocele. But that's a 4 month waiting list too.

Do any Canadian's have success stories about how they actually got help under our socialist health care system? It takes months on end to see anyone and when you finally do they tell you "High Estrogen is Un-treatable, Arimidex sounds like it's only for women and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is probably illegal"

Obviously he is a bad doc. If you want, send him these AACE guidelines for Hypogonadism. Scroll down the page this link takes you to and you will see it. It talks about maintaining estradiol at proper levels quite a bit. Hopefully your doc understands what aromatision is. But you might want to be prepared to explain it to him as well.

Yep, totally not treatable. Sounds like an awesome diabetes...er hormone specialist.

Oh wait...

Yes, those are both of my labs (NOT on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doses, but still relevant) from differing periods. I couldn't find any really good E2 ones (lol) but as you can see Aromatase inhibitor (AI) DOES in fact reduce the amount of estradiol in your blood stream. I hope you can find a new doctor given how your health care system works. This clown should be charged with negligence as E2 is probably THE MOST important hormone to keep track of while on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Stuff drives me crazy.

^^^ funny I was just thinking the exact thing when I opened this thread...I bet the guy only knows how to manage diabetes

that's actually how most endos roll
I don't honestly know how the canadian medical system works but fire this fricken guy if you can

Since you are Canadian and IMT and others can't help you and it's a long wait to see another doc go click on the sponsor's banner above this thread and perhaps get an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) there....I've heard they ship to Canada.

Also get your post count up so you can PM me and I'll send you some sources for HCG....you can just go to the new member's section and greet new people for that.

It would sure be nice if you could educate your endo so he doesn't unnecessarily leave more of his patients in misery....good luck with that!

Holy Smokes Halfwit! Your e2 was near 400? Jesus, what did that feel like? I got paranoid when mine hit 115...

That is what really scares me about the new health care law in the US, I am afraid a few years down the line we will be having to wait six months to get to see a doctor.

Obama care will bankrupt the system...socialized medicine sucks!
Funny thing is it was written by the insurance companies themselves. They can deny you treatment if they want.
6 month wait period for specialists here unless urgent (dieing)

Yes sir it does, the sad part is that it is looking more and more like that is the intention of the administration!

Obama just loves Americans...all those drones dropping bombs on kids in Iraq, Afghanistan. Now they are all over the U.S. and the military has drills in urban areas. NSA spying on everyone's emails, internet searches...
But he's Liberal...so he must be good!:scratchhe
