Hey guys. I used to post here long ago as a kid, under username MANOWAR. Got into a dead/squat/bench routine and grew big very quickly, made amazing gains. I continued to workout and up my lifts, deadlifted max 335 sometime around early 07 (I remember cuz it was the best time of my life, 11th grade, was having sooo much fun, everyone else were studying their asses off for SATs but I was having the time of my life), then called it the quits. My social life got crazy, consisted of being out ALL the time and eating shit ALL the time, so I stopped lifting, and I also stopped eating meat randomly after watching those animal cruelty videos (I know, boycotting meat doesn't make a different, animals will die regardless, the problem is not consumers but industrial capitalism, I know but I still don't feel like eating meat that often). Because of that, I ate shit (cheese, starbucks, etc.) and lost all my muscle, but all my fat too. From 170 180ish came down to 130. I also ran sometimes, but I lost lots of weight, and I was happy with myself. I was a little flabby but really small, and it felt great, I realized I didn't like being big. Wore size XS (I'm 5'4" 5'5") and 28 waist jeans, felt awesome! Even those tight ass European style brands (H&M) fit great.

Then college came, and eventually all the crap I ate got to me. I took it next level, I had the time of my life in highschool, didn't do any work, hardly learned anything. By first semester of college I started taking school seriously, I loved my classes n professors n spent almost all day studying and reading. Because of that, n all the stress from college, I took shit eating next level (I got to school in the city, so I'd have Starbucks like 3 times a day). And from then on I destroyed by body. During 12th grade I was 130, now it's my fourth semester in college and I'm 183. A few weeks ago I was 196 (PURE fat, no muscle at all, so literally I think certified obesity).

So I've destroyed my body through horrible eating habits. Now it's pay back, I really want to get in shape by next semester, 6 pack n everything. I'm only 5'4nthree quarters (legally 5'5" WOO) so my goal is 130lbs. I don't want to be big or muscular, just HEALTHY, I want to be in shape. I want to be able to do a 7-8 minute mile, and be able to do handstands, pullups easily, etc. Just want to be skinny and healthy, I have no care for lifting or strength or muscles.

I thought coming back here would be good motivation. I feel like a journal is a big help to me, not only helps me keep track but gives me goals, and with a journal I can see progress. This journal isn't to get attention or comments but just for me to keep track, I need to sustain motivation cuz I give up quickly.
There used to be so many awesome people who gave me great encouragement on my old journal, Mulligan, Adidas, TMan, ANGRY, Winter (old highschool friend, haven't seen him in a while!), everyone else, hope you're all doing well, hope you're all still here too !!

So here's where I am. The last 2 weeks I've been vegan, fully vegan. For the last 2 months I've been partly vegan (vegan 75% of the time, and the rest eating shit, like brownies quesidillas burritos etc).
From 196 I came down to 185. I'm hoping to lose 4 pounds a week, going all out. I tried working out a few times, but left me sore for days since it's been so long.
It's wierd, when I was 15 (oh yeah when I posted here I was 15 I lied about my age lol) I was deadlifting in the 200s n 300s. Now I'm 19 and I struggle with the bar, ouchhhh funny how times have changed

My goal is again 130.
I've been doing elliptical 5 times a week for 300-600 callorie workouts (according to the machine display).

Ill post my diet as well as routines in a few mins !

I thought about doing these type of workouts alongside cardio and dieting, but I figured I really want to lose weight quickly, and these workouts left me sore for like 4 5 days through which I wouldn't want to do cardio since I was sore n just sat home read n ate shit, so I'm gonna put off working out for now n stick to elliptical :D

I'm trying to stick to this diet so I'm gonna keep posting it up.
One thing I realized is that, at school I would just eat shit like it's no big deal (Sun Chips, KitKat) but then once I started writing them down and looking at the crap I ate, it became a huge deal. So yeah I'm gonna stick to recording everything I eat.

MON APRIL 5 2010

AM cardio on empty stomach (right after waking up) --> Elliptical 20mins 300calls
then
-Chocolate shake --> 1 banana, water, almond milk, 2 teaspoons coco powder
-1 grapefruit, & green tea w/ 2 teaspoons blackstrap molasis
-1 apple
-few french fries (very small amount, met up with some friends at Applebees couldn't resist)
-Fruit shake --> Broccoli, 1 apple, water, 4 tablespoons hemp seeds
-1 cup black grapes
-1 kiwi & 1 grapefruit

TUE APRIL 6 2010

AM cardio on empty stomach --> Elliptical 20mins 300calls

-1 grapefruit, & green tea w/ 2 teaspoons blackstrap molasis
-Choc shake --> 1 banana, water, almond milk, 2 teaspoons coco powder
-2 table spoons homemade peanut butter
-Fruit shake --> Broccoli, blueberries, 1 apple, water, 4 tablespoons hemp seeds
-1 apple, 1 kiwi
-6 frozen dumplings stuffed with cabbage (needed a treat)
-1lb seedless black grapes



BTW I'm not trying to be vegan for ethical reasons, I know it's all highly debatable, really don't wish to justify it, especially on a steroid forum ... doing it for health reasons, using my body as an experiment, wanna see how much weight I can lose and how good I feel
(I FEEL GREATTT even the last few months being partly vegan n eating fruits n vegetables throughout the day, I NEVER got sick, always had energy, feel light, think clearly, got rid of bloodpressure and high cholesterol, but the only problem is I shit like 4 times a day at least).

Elliptical 35 minutes 500 callories

-Green tea w/ 2tblspn blackstrap molasis, 1 grapefruit
-choco shake --> almond milk, banana, coco powder
-broccoli 1 apple water n 4 tblspn hemp seed shake
-1 apple
-1 pound seedless black grapes
-2 kiwi
-half bowl soy chicken strips

WOOOOO haven't fd up diet yet, 2 days is a big accomplishment for me !!!!!
 
Thanks Miss Muscle !!! It's okie, I really like it, suiting me well, I enjoy what I'm eating and I feel so so energetic, I concentrate so much more, my academic performance has been up, I love it !!!!

Today morning I weighed 178, down from 185 the last time I checked about a week ago woooooo. I don't think these disparities will be consistant though, my goal is 3-4lbs a week down, lets see :D

TODAY:

Elliptical 15 mins 250 calls

-Green tea w/ 2 tblspn blackstrap molassis
-1 grapefruit
-choco shake - water, almonds, hemp seeds, pine nuts, 2 spns coco powder & 1 banana
-broccolo shake w/ spinach & 2 apples
-2 yams
-1 bowl soy chicen strips ( 0 fat, low on callories)
 
SUNDAY APRIL 11TH 2009

Elliptical 25 mins 350 calls

-2 bananas, almond milk, water, hemp seeds, 2 tblspoons coco powder YUMM
-green tea w/ almond milk & 2 tblspoons blackstrap molasis
-pure cranberry juice no sugar added
-1 grapefruit, 1 lb black grapes
-3 kiwi

...and the day goes on ...

Well so far the diet has been working for me phenominally, I feel more energetic everyday, lighter, happier, more productive. I've tried all kinds of diets, been through it all .... remember 4 years ago, when I was 15 I was deadlifting in the upper 200s, by the time I got to 16 it was the mid-upper 300s, diet consisted of lean meat protein shakes veggies everything. Tried all kinds of different diets, guys like Pullinbig n TMan helped me put together awesome training routines, but I'm trying something different now.
This is something new for me, experimenting around, and I've never felt this good ever. Even though I'm fat and out of shape I feel the best I've ever felt, losing weight and feeling healthy as ever.

I know this is an amazing place for guidance and help and advice, but I feel like the diet I'm doing is so far working great (hasn't been that long). So I want to wait it out n see how it works for me :D
 
good luck buddy i remember in high school i was deadlifting 505 and squating 695, tore my acl and fractured a my back so quit working for years now im fatter then ever, i feel like such a puss right now squating around 375 trying to build everything back up and lose the flubber. Eating right is my only flaw especially when u have kids. Just wanted to say good luck wish i could strict my diet the way that u do but no vegan for me gotta have my beef. It takes true dedication and your rolling on the right track keep up the good work it will all pay outi n the end
