Filter needle for amps?

I'm using amps for the first time and was wondering if i should use a filter needle to draw from the amp in case of small glass pieces. I didn't get any filter needles yet so if it's not a must I prob. won't if most of you guys haven't had a prob.

It's definitely a good idea. I always used them whenever I used amps.

Amps should be fairly easy to open
without glass falling in. Not saying it
couldn't happen... I have never had
any problems.
I agree you should filter it obviously
if you think glass is in it.
Open it with a quick snap. good luck

ive always wondered how u use an ampule lol...u break off the top..? i stick to vials unless its a last resort kinda thing

preciate it ya i think i will just try and give it a clean break if i get soreness i will order some filters but i guess i will just give it a shot....thx for the comments

I've seen an amp cutter that scores it for a clean break, never used it but sounds like it would do the job

A trick is to take a metal nail file around the score of the amp.
Snaps off cleaner.
I used to have an amp opener, I loaned it to someone who also thought it was pretty cool.

The same place I got the opener (years ago) also sold filterpins.
I dont know of any site that sells pins and legal stuff now.
Likely the same places that sell f-kits and u-kits (if those are still around).

ThE correct and safe way to draw from amps is with filter needles. Online medical supply sites have them cheap and fast delivery.
