Filtering with .45 micron...

When filtering through a .45 filter and an 18 gauge needle into a sterile vile, how fast should you push the solution through?

Slow steady drip? Fast steady drip? Slow stream? Fast stream? At first I start off with a slow drip, then sometimes I grow impatient and start pushing faster toward the end. How do you know when you are pushing it too fast?

it shouldnt really mater as long as you dont push hard enough to blow the filter out.
