finished 3rd week - not happy with results

currently on my first cycle - 10 weeks test e 500mg/week split into two 250mg injections.
0.5mg arimidex EOD and two 250iu HCG injections/week
i had been gaining the weeks prior to starting cycle on about 3500 cals

tomorrow starts week 4 and i'm only 5lbs up, mostly water probably...
i thought by now by strength would be up by a lot but in reality i'm only doing a few reps more or adding about 10lbs max to some of my lifts. other exercises like shoulder press haven't changed at all.

i'm i asking too much for week 3? i know most people say they feel test e kick in at week 4 but i see no reason why you shouldn't improve your lifts during the first weeks. i'm just worried i'm not gonna get much out of this cycle and lose most of what i gained during PCT...

on the other hand my mom keeps asking me if i have a sore throat because she swears my voice is deeper lol. brother told me he sees my beard is finally closing up and some friends asked my if i got into i fight because my face looks a bit swollen lol... btw libido was strong as fck during week 1 but the past 2 weeks has been really normal.

gear is alpha pharma so i would hope it's legit

are you expecting too much at end of week 3? yes

remember, what you gain is almost entirely dependant on your diet, rest, and training in that order
 
When I ran tea E @ 500 a week that was the magic number for me as well. Any more than .25 every 3rd day I would feel lazy as Phuck.

ya bro, lethargic, joints hurt and crack, feel flat and unable to retain enough water to feel hydrated, just generally feel like shit. A lot of people are very scared of gyno so they run their AI way to high when in fact a better thing to do is run a low (actually normal, adex is strong) dose AI and run Nolvadex alongside. But I don't think we need to get into that, that's not the question at hand, lol.

just yesterday doing shoulders i felt like my joints hurt and specially my left shoulder cracking a lot. i though it had to do with the intensity because i've had problems with that shoulder before (years ago). i haven't been feeling like shit but definitely felt a lot better during week 1.
i will lower the dose to 0.25mg E3D then and see how it goes.

finishing 4th week today:

lowered the AI dose to 0.25mg E3D. definitely feeling better; libido has increased, skin tearing pumps.
i'm currently doing a P/L/P twice a week. push and legs lifts have all increased a bit and feel like i can lift the weights with more ease but my pulling days so have have sucked big time. i'm not sure why but i'm never satisfied after pull day.

anyway, i'm up 4kg. so far 1kg per week. i'd like to be up by more but i guess i can't complain.
the only side i've been feeling so far is increased body temperature. not really sweating that much but my face and neck burn a bit. like if i had a weak sunburn.

and that's it for now, hopefully week 5 will bring more and better gains
 
One big thing I notice about gear. I almost never get DOMS while on. I can do a two hour marathon gym session going heavy and the next day? Nothing. Feel great.

Your expectations of what steroids can do are too high.

2.2lbs/ week is solid y arnt u happy with that?

don't get me wrong, i am happy. i just tend to think it's mostly water weight that i'll lose once i come off the gear, so i'd like to put on a lot of weight to keep a fair amount during/after PCT

If you are using an AI properly water should be kept to a minimum.
 
just finished week 5:

my last pin was about 200mg instead of 250mg because it was the last bit left in the vial. i guess more than once i injected more than 250mg but i guess it's normal. haven't felt much difference from week 4. i can definitely say the test is kicking in. i feel like i can lift forever, actually been training 90 minutes instead of 60 like i used to. i had the idea that i wold be upping the weight weekly but so far it hasn't been the case. i am stronger but by about 10lbs max or 3 to 5 reps. not complaining though, i just had higher expectations.

i'm up another kilo. so far 5kg since the beginning. had my birthday on wednesday and drank a bit more than i should have. still ate what i had to but woke up with reflux the next day and even yesterday i could feel my stomach isn't working 100%. it's been hard eating mi daily calories when i feel the food in trapped in my sternum but i've been forcing myself to eat.

as for the sides still feeling like my body temperature has increased and i've been getting very small pimples in my chest and now in my back but it's nothing to worry about.

i've been thinking of doing 12 weeks instead of 10, i have everything i need except the gear i'd need but i can get it easily. i'm gonna wait till week 8 to make a decision.

btw i trained my back hard on tuesday and did chest/shoulders on wednesday and noticed my strength went down by a lot. i'm definitely sure it's because of having trained back the day before but i got pissed off at how little i was lifting. i'd think 24 hours is more than enough for my body to recover on gear. i've been doing push/legs/pull/push/legs/pull/rest but i might switch to Push/P/L/Push/P/L/Rest this week and see how it goes.

anyway, that's it for now. looking forward to making more gains on week 6 ;)
 
Go 12-14 weeks max unless you get yourself some hCG. If I see someone tell me that it is a waste and gains slow, then you are a fool. Gains typically slow more so because your caloric intake isn't increasing consistently with the new mass you put on (however cortisol, myostatin etc your body does strive for homeostasis however IMO it is blown a little out of proportion).

Be patient, your clearly aren't (don't worry, I am too but it's something you have to learn), you should and already are starting to see it kick in.

i don't really wanna go past 12 weeks, i fear not recovering if i cycle for too long.
i've been thinking of doing prop instead of enan the last 2 weeks (if i decide to extend the cycle), that way i can start PCT a couple days after my last pin. please give me some input on this. i know it's advised to stick to a single compound but i already know i react well to enan and if there was something wrong with the prop i'd just stop right there.
 
Yes, buying yourself a vial of Prop instead of another vial of enanthate would be a good idea as it will allow the enanthate ester to clear whilst running the prop which clears rapidly anyway.

Single compound? Test is test. Tren is Tren. Nandrolone is Nandrolone. Esters just dictate how fat soluble it will be therefore dictating the release time.
