For those of you with great abs!

I'm looking to build and define my abs...I am 11percent bf now and I can see my abs. Can anyone give me a good ab routine to help me build a great stomach. thanks!
 
A lower bodyfat percentage.

Most people have fine abs, the only problem is that they have a layer of fat covering them.

I really don't think there is a secret kick your ass ab program anywhere. Just stick to the basics: Crunches, Hanging Leg Raises, stuff like that.
 
Use weights when you do ab exercises. Most people think they have to do 500 crunches and 90 situps to get good abs... like some how the abs are a magical area that doesn't follow the rules of muscle building like the rest of your body.
 
if your gym has those ab machines with weights do those and also try using a medicine ball between your legs when doing hanging work with abs

Very true,I myself don't do much ab work, I do some after every workout just to say I did and my abs are great.I do lots of deads and squats,I think that makes the difference.

exactly abs are not about crunches its strictly a BF thing..
and of course the last place you drop BF from is your waist line so it makes it that much harder for some to have really great abs
 
Well what worked for me to get my six pack was a lot of weight lifting with my abs. My abdomen got bigger at first but after a couple of months the muscle that built up burned most of the fat away. What also helps is running, I run about 2 miles a day.

if youre bulking and you can still see em' I salute you. you must have good control over your diet. when i bulk i dont have a prayer at seeing them. :sad:

Nope, you can't target fat loss your body decides where it loses it. As for the medicine ball....sounds like it would hurt.

I feel like a poser in this thread as I do not have great abs...well I might I just can't see them. :sad:
 
When using abs all the muscles will react to training not specific "upper or lower"
Go with the basics and heavy.
Then do deads and squats.

Exactly right. Except I can only train abs 1x per week, because my abs hurt for 6 days. Is this normal?

Should I train them with less intensly so that im able to do them 2-3x per week?
 
For abs etched out of granite and forged in fire----> 3 components must me in place

> Very low BF%
> Use weighted ab movements
> Train all muscles of the midsection
