Anyone have any luck with an OTC anti estrogen? Obviously to help with the body producing estrogen and also damn water retention! I do eat fairly clean but sometimes the water in my face and the bloating are bothersome. Just wondering anyone have any experience with any OTC supps. If not guess it good ole nolvadex and clomid..I got a buddy who can hook me up anyway.

first off, what is your cycle?
OTC stuff is not going to work like prescription. It seems you do not know the difference between a SERM and an aromatase inhibitor. Nolva and clomid are SERMS (selective estrogen receptor modulators). They don't lower estrogen, they just block estrogen receptors so estrogen can't act on them. This will not help with water bloat. You need an AI (aromatase inhibitor) which binds to the aromatase enzyme preventing conversion of your testosterone to estrogen. The type of estrogen you're worried about is estradiol. Common AI's used are arimidex (anastrozole) and aromasin (exemestane).

First thing I would do is get blood work and see where your e2 (estradiol) is at.

Yes what is your situation? On/off cycle? Whats the deal? Alot of water retention is diet related as well, not just e2. As was said blood work is critical to really see where your e2 levels are truly at. Tell us more info and maybe we can make some suggestions man.

Yes I am a bit ignorant when it comes to AI's and such. I'm 3 weeks in (300mgs sus every monday and thursday)and my main deal is water in my face. It comes and goes just wish it would stay gone. Secondly is the belly bloat I get but that is probably do to a few beers (3)a few nights a week. On my diet, like I said its fairly clean(chicken breast, salmon, talapia, turkey, tuna, lean beef, beans, eggs just cut out my breads, oatmeals, nuts, whey,salads/other veggies and fruits. Fluids are only water(with the 5 calorie Crystal light mix) and OJ in the morning. With the exception of a few nights drinking and my 1 or 2 cheat meals a week. I would think that would be my problem but i guess its surely possible. I'm 5'5" 170 probably around 15% bf. Guess maybe I need to get blood work done.

Well I firmly believe that you should be managing your e2 with an ai. Arimidex or Exemestane would be my choices. Id start one and then see how it progresses. Blood work is key. Get it so you can manage your estrogen properly on cycle man. My goal is to keep my estrogen in the normal range even when Im on cycle. This allows me the benefits of estrogen without the sides. High e2 is NOT healthy for males man. Incorporate that ai and mage that e2 with blood work, You will be glad you did man.

Pick up some rui liquid stane man. I run it at 25mg/day when im taking 600mgs test per week but everyone is different. I also split my dose and take 12.5mg in the morning and 12.5mg at night but I dont think you have to do that-split it I mean. I read it somewhere and started using it that way and when my bloodwork came back on point I figured Im not gonna change anything so I keep doing it that exact way. It will make a big difference in how you feel. I felt like a marshmallow before I started using it and literally in a few days I felt & even looked so much better.

What Jimi said :)

Just to add that you want to get bloodwork BEFORE messing around with AIs.
I've seen way too many people, and its becoming more common, using generic ai doses without a clue of where they're e2 is and then ending up with crashed estrogen levels.
Low e2 is much WORSE than high imo.

Get bloodwork first, adjust dosing with ai (I prefer exemestane) later.

If you have no side effects other than water retention it could also be the sodium in your diet. I wouldn't go tanking your estrogen levels before getting blood work done.

And in case you aren't doing as much reading as I did my first week, it can be confusing on which test to get and you don't want to waste your money and not get what you want.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but the female hormone panel should give you what you need. You'll select male further along in checkout so the test will be referenced to male levels.

yes get the female hormone panel. It's cheaper than the male panel and will give you all of the important readings. Just specify that you're a male when filling out the paperwork.

bro, you're worried about bloat but I would knock off the beer for starters. I like it too, but on cycle it's not good for your liver dude. just my 2cnts.
