frequentt urination at night

I've been on TRT now for 2 years and am noticing an increase in having to urinate. This is especially noticeable at night as I have to wake up to go to the bathroom. In the past I might wake up once to urinate but now it is regularly twice a night, sometimes more. I'm not sure if this is a natural part of aging (I'm almost 53) or if it is something else. Any help would be appreciated

if you havent, good idea to go get prostate checked. i pee 1-3 times a night most of my life. try not to drink too much water right before bed.

Huh , well you know what will help, cialis. Low dose daily cialis. Even though your prostate numbers are ok (which is great) it still may be enlarged. As a result frequent urination is a symptom. Low dose daily cislis treats the symptoms of BPA (benign prostetic hyperplasia). 5mg/day should do the trick. Maybe even 5mg eod. Give it a try.

Why what? Why cialis works or why the frequent urination or why you are using 2 different user names here on the forum? lol

I have only one login for this site. I worded my question poorly. Nevermind though, I'll look it up on my own.

i would personally get both your prostate and your fasting glucose checked.. those would be the two main concerns

You might have sleep apnea and you think you're waking up because you have to urinate.

hitting 50 here soon too and its a way of life around these neck of the woods....right oldmusclemike :)?

Ooooh, another good one to look into. I used to wake up from the apnea, and as my bladder was full, I'd go urinate as I was already awake. You can pick up a glucose meter for cheap to see how that's going if a blood test for an A1C is going to be awhile. Beyond 120mg/dL two hours after eating would be something I'd get in touch with a doctor over. Obviously, dietary changes would be optimal if this is the case, but catching it early is so important. :)

My .02c :)

I've been checked for sleep apnea, also had a blood test with my physical 3 months ago and the glucose level was normal. My frequent urination at night is really affecting my sleep, but last night was great- only woke up once.

I'm going to schedule an appointment with a urologist to find out what's going on.
