Front squats??

RJ

On Vacation
I am looking for some feedback on front squats and your views on if they are a good alternate for reg squats. Like switching em up every week.

I have never done them but a couple guys I train with do em and like em alot. And say they target the quad alot better.

I love to do squats, and I always get sore thru the whole leg, but I was wanting some feedback from you all.

Thanks.

RJ

They are are good alternative, I find that I am much stronger on regular squats so I prefer them for that reason. I feel that they can put a bit more stress on the knees than regular squats so if you have knee trouble, be careful to use good form.

I can't do them (cause i'm a retard), but they are an excellent alternative. especially for those who have shoulder issues and can't comfortably grab the bar.
nice avi btw. i don't know how you have TIME to workout at all.

finally, my first post. i like them alot and sometimes do them in addition to reg. squats. i put a plate under each heel to help with balance, but still drive up thru the heels. hits quads great, and i find i can go lower with these than regular squats pain-free.

Right back at ya. That actually just replaces my cardio sessions.

I think I can say the same thing for BB about your avi. lol

I love big boobies!!!

funny your mentioning these as I just threw them back in this past leg workout.

havent done them in a while but they def hit the quad pretty direct if done correctly

I find i get more ham development strength from squats to be honest.

yeah theyre huge lol
..im not sure if i buy the whole idea that fronts hit the quads better..i have done them and i think there very productive for most people..they will help your reg squat as well as your dead and they are a great core exercise..you may want to run with fronts for awhile and then switch back and see how what kind of carryover you get with reg squats

quadsillla

yeah, for me, at least, i feel it more in my quads around the tear drop to be exact. but yeah i'm trying this new routine for my quads:

leg. ext. 2@ 10-12
front squats 2@6-8
leg presses 2@10-12

i'll tell you how my quad developement goes in a few weeks.
