Frustrated!

Thank you Mrs. and Mr. P :)
No worries about Blondie saying she is extreme. We all have to do what works for us. I personally know that when I am extreme in my dieting and exercising that in the long run I crash, and then I feel miserable. I will definitely have my cheat day :-D Life is too short to get TOO obsessed with it, for me anyways. I am basically 30 years old. I want to start really enjoying life and not be so freakin rigid! I want to be super muscle girl too :p lol...We shall see. I'm on the right track tho. I just sent 3J's my answers to the questionnaire and some pics too.
So, thank you all who have chimed in here :)

Thank you Lauren.

Obviously taken before the baby bump, I'm not bothered about being super lean year round, I maintain that shape by eating fruits, veggies, protein, carbs and fats. I dont restrict myself and have more than one cheat day and dessert on the odd ocassion if I feel like it because being happy and not stressing makes a difference to my body composition just like the diet and training. But I get strict only when competing. If you're not a seasoned athlete there's no need to put so much pressure on yourself :)

You're right, I cannot live my life so rigidly that is consumes everything I do. I am hoping by getting a healthier plan in motion (I've contacted 3J's and am about to start a plan of his) that I will get past this stumbling block of mine.
Btw, you look awesome! I noticed you posted a picture of yourself as your avatar. Hope you're doing well!

Great post Mrs P. :)

Don't need to say anymore! Except maybe this, blondie is in a different place to us, younger (still in 20's) not married and no kids (my guess) so she can think about just herself and do what she likes. But when she shares her life and her time like we do she'll have to find balance because being a wife, mother, working etc.. You need the workouts, dieting etc..to fit in somewhere without neglecting other aspects of your life. That is a true balancing act. That's when you realise what's important and being rigid about anything isn't.

Screw balance my :bootyshak

Everything in life needs balance, no one can be successfull in training/ diet or anything else in life without balance.

I'm very dedicated, let's not confuse dedication with balance, You cannot change to a healthier lifestyle with an "All or Nothing" Mentality or your setting yourself up for failure.
You need to allow for flexibility and when things don't go as planned, "you fall 7 times, you get up 8 !!!! "

We are all human, and no one is perfect and who ever claims they are extreme, I say "I call it Bull Sh*t !! ... everyone needs balance.

Blondie, lmh7654 has been struggling with an unhealthy eating habbit for a long time now, she's trying to get back to a healthier weight & diet... The last thing she needs now is a female, that should understand how difficult it could be for some girls to have a positive body image to come in here and say that "Screw balance"..

Let's try and help this member out, and be real with each other...

I now u change & learn as u get older, I really do think we all need balance, even if I wasn't married & had kids, I think I would go crazy if all I thought about was training/dieting, there's so much more to life than that..

and yes, life is just that a big balancing act after all..lol

You said it Mrs P and Detour5!
I am not married, nor in a relationship, nor have any kids at this time, however I am really consumed by my dogs, I have three, and they don't want a mom that is in the basement working out 24/7 and dieting to the point her energy is gone. Thank God for them ;)

Thanks again and hope you both have a great weekend if I don't talk to you before!

Hey Mrs, today I think I'm feeling better. Energy feels different, better somehow even though I had a bad nights sleep - go figure that one!

Have a great weekend Mrs. P and Lauren.
