Glute Ham Raises

i always did them on the GHR bench with a blue (fattest) band choked down several times.

but those look like they might be tough with no hands. in fact ill say there may be several folks on here that cant do one rep like that.

You can get one at midwestbarbell for about 250. A bunch of people told me it is a very good piece of equipment. Just throw it in your bedroom. I haven't picked it up yet, but may get it for christmas, not that i am going to get to use it any time soon, lol.

tried them out this morn after speed squats and speed pulls..i found it extremely difficult to really lock my feet in and i was using the fattest pad my gym has..i think im gonna bring a towel next time and wrap te pad to get a tighter fit..also im guessing because of the "play" inbetween the bar and my heels i was really unable to get a good squeeze in the glutes i was able to contrct the hams though..

PB- i used a little assistance off the floor but did 2 sets of 5

that style of ghr is more of a leg curl than the traditional ghr. most posterior core work is performed by bending at the waste as opposed to the knees. pull thrus, gms, reverse hypers. ghr, racks, sldl, etc.....

anyway BB try it with your hands locked behind your head. ghrs that is. =0)

like that makes a differnce. =0)

i will add that it is nice to have a female lifter in the training forum. most PLing forums/boards have several and they kinda keep us testosterone laiden dingleberries in check.
