Glute w/ 1" Pin??

I'm gonna jab my glute for the first time today.
All I have are 1.5" 22g / 1" 23g / and 1" 25g

I know I'm supposed to use a 1.5" pin for this but the 22g looks thick as fuck.
Would I be ok with the 1" 23g. I have a fair amount of fat on my ass (no homo) but nothing crazy.

hmm did a search, and seems as if there's a lot of threads on this.. I guess it all comes down to personal preference.

If you don't get into the muscle and inject into fatty tissue, you're wasting your gear. Thats the reason 1 1/2 " is recommended.

I wouldnt do it personally.A friend of mine used a 1" pin and is currently sporting a golf ball sized knot on his ass cheek.He basically did a SubQ injection with 2.5ml because the needle didnt penetrate the muscle deep enough.He did his injection 8 days ago and it still hurts like a mofo.

He showed me the knot at the gym and I dont want nothing to do with getting a knot like that.I'll take the longer pin myself, and my experience is the longer pin doesnt hurt anymore then the shorter one.

why dont you just use the 1" for a Ventro Glutel shot. I'm currently doing the same with a 23g 1" and the next day I can feel it all the way down my quad. I like it, you can see what you are doing and dont have to twist around to hit the ass in the right spot, plus dont have to worry about hitting a nerve in the ventro glut spot.
You should look into it.

I've used 23g x 1" for glute, just depends on how lean you are. I'm gonna hit it there tomorrow, and use the same for guads.

I would just get 23x1.5 and until then just do a delt or quad shot.

how much do you weigh?

im 190 less than 10% body fat.

a 25g 1inch pin works fine for my glutes

im 175 around 13 % BF
I shot the glute with a 23g 1" but the pin kept sliding out when I tried to inject. I shot about half a cc probably all sub-q (does that mean I wasted it all?) then I pulled out and just shot the rest of it in my delt.
Im gonna pick up some 1.5" pinz and try to keep it in the muscle next time.

I usually have to settle for 22g x1" myself cuz its finest pin availible at my choice feed store! lol have done 18g x 1.5" only couple times cuz its like driving round column pile n2 ur skin then I got a lot of blotting under band-aid. Ild rather keep my gear in the depot. Also true point that ya do need to go deep into the middle of the muscle way past all fat. Ive had knot issues in glute from 3/4" pins. settled for shorties cuz the 25g pin is oh so nice. Then commenced to pinning delts and thighs. Still got blood squirt upon removal in thigh.. Pros n cons to every aspect of it

local needle exchange has 1.25 23g which works perfect. They keep them on hand so they can give the junkies an IM needle to inject the stuff they use to reverse an OD
