good squat but lack in bench

hi

yesterday i did squat of 300 punds which is preety good for my body(5'7" 160 lbs). i even went on 275 lbs for deadlift but somehow i lack in bech, i can hardly do bench press of 185 lbs and not more than tht......

i feel bech squat and deadlift shld go in parallel but i dont see any future for bench.....

one thing might be because of my forearm as i have really very small forarms as compared to my other body parts... i can easily curl my fingers around my wrist ....

any suggestion to improve forarms strength and bench press???

Forearm exericses are pretty easy and probably should be worked into your bicep workout. Curing your fingers around your wrist doesn't mean squat.

How's your tricep workouts? I noticed I benched better after I made a special effort to hit my triceps hard. Do you work shoulders and back?
 
You might be overtraining bro, whats your workouts look like? I weigh 170 and have never benched over 235, unless I was on something. But since using the 2 day per week workout by iron addict Ive already managed to get to 265 and I havent took anything for 13 weeks now. The workout doesnt look like it will do much but it has amazed me and my friend.
 
I had the same problem with bench my squats and deadlifts are my strongest exercise, but I was weak on bench, mainly due to tendonitis which I found out was caused by gripping too tight when I bench. I lightened up on the grip after a hiatus from benching now my bench is going up.
 
if your not strong at becnh try other chest exercises to build it up.. i notice when i bench every three weeks i gain more strength because i isolate and do dbell and other pressing movements and that all helps your bench go up
 
if you have a "chest" routine, that would indicate a problem- you should have a "bench" routine, as benching is a lot more than just chest and should be worked as a whole.
post your routine- lets take a look.

I dont see much of a problem. Not everyones numbers will be relatively similar..but even so that bench isnt horrible for those numbers I dont think.

right now i am following the routine listed on page 6 of thread do dealift thicken waist.....

i am mainly wants to do lift heavy with this routine and since only 4 exercise(from this routine each day) per day is seems to be very less so i have added 2-3 exercies of relative body part.

well i think i can do the bench of even 200 pounds(1-2 repetition) in a single breath but once i exhale i couldnt pull it anymore.

when you miss a bench press do you fail at the top/middle/bottom ?
make sure to draw your shoulder blades back and hold them throughout the lift , arch your back to shorten the stroke [ notice i didnt say lift your butt ] , keep your elbows tucked in till almost at the top because flying elbows usually put the weight up over the face instead of over the chest/abs where they belong .
