Greatest preworkout ever or asking for problems?

If you are in longer than an hour youre not training hard enough.

hour to long?

There are more ways than one to achieve goals in the gym. Some people lift real heavy and take longer breaks and others lift lighter weights with less rest. My thinking is both ways work. So being in a gym for more than 1 hour is not to long to train for. Some people just enjoy training for long periods of time.

example is, compare Ronnie Coleman to say Dorian Yates workout styles or even branch warren. They all three are completely different from each other but they all work. As long as the muscles are being broken down they will grow if the diet is on point regardless of training method as long as your going to failure.

Shorter, more intense sessions have never failed me. I think intensity is the key factor, not so much time. Sometimes I take longer breaks because I have days where I choose to go extreme intensity so I end up in the gym for sometime around 1.5 hours. Switching up and finding what works for you is what will make you better though.

In regards to pre-workout, too many people rely on them to train and become dependant. If you can get away without them, great. If you need a boost man the fuck up or have a cup of coffee or cycle ECA if you specifically trying to go for fat loss.

DMAA itself was always good for me, but that was once a week use it provided me with a solid, clear headed but I stopped using it well over a year ago. Tolerance builds up rapidly to it and you loose that focus/edge effect and just get sides/comedown.

After doing what I do for anywhere from 8-14hrs a day, pre-workout supplements are a godsend on days I need them. I know what you're trying to say and agree to a point but just wanted to say not everyone is lazy.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to say anyone using a pre-workout is lazy, but in cases like yours that's where I believe they have their place...

Fuck yeah, dre. I work doubles 6 days a week, and that's just one job. I have my own business, helping another business start up, and I work pay time at another place, plus school......uh huh. Pre workouts....it's like the nectar of the Gods.

I agree with you about people depending on them - newbies in my gym take the terrible ones companies make (with prop blends) & then bitch about why they don't "feel" it anymore. I also agree about the comedown, I feel like shit for a few days if I take it for too long a period.
I personally hate coffee, the effects go away halfway through my workout & it just makes me want to go to the toilet all the time (NOT happening during some squat PB's).

However, you cant get the intensity that an eca/dmaa stack gives you by "manning the fuck up" or taking carbs - that's a fact. As Dre said, after a long day, or if your attempting a few PB's, preworkouts will give you a vital edge. Comparing a cup of coffee to eca/dmaa is just stupid - completely different level of intensity.

I agree. Younger guys take these stims like they're juice and they always think more is better and that they can handle more than anyone else that had ever taken it. Then they're not working after a week cuz they started the dose so high and then there are all these kids dropping dead from heart attacks and shit. Shit,I remember in high school during the summer time the school weight pits were open everyday for anyone in the city and we would take like 6 stacker 2's each then we would all be too sick to even work out so we would do two sets, throw up, then lay on the mats for two hours. Sheer stupidity and these kids are still doing this shit. I try not to take anything unless I'm falling asleep in the car on my way too the gym.

I only take a 1/2 scoop of pre work out. I mainly do it to wake my ass up after 8hours of doing nothing but eating and staring at a computer screen at work. I've gone a decent amount of time with out taking it and did fine. But I just wait for a sale and buy some, half a scoop here and there last me awhile.

Yeah I should have been more specific, it's mostly the newbies that get hooked on the pre-workout... a lot of them are just designer stims, analogues of phenethylamine which is the backbone of amphetamine combined with a weak MAOI along with a shitload of caffeine. No thanks.

Caffeine also does not agree with me anymore, it just gives me anxiety and a solid comedown on par with adderall. I'm not big on stims anymore, but there was a while in my early days of training when I loved the old DMAA/Caffeine stack. Ephedrine was always illegal in Aus so I can't comment on that.

I do agree, you can't get the intensity and push from a stimulant stack like such, although I am always in the gym because I want to be there and find it rarely that I don't want to go or am feeling tired, those days could warrant a pre-workout but I choose not to. Personal choice really. You build a tolerance to the high it gives though quite rapidly, so repeated weekly dosing becomes useless anyway to a point.

I have mates guilty of taking from memory 3 different preworkouts at full doses... they ended up crashing the car lol.

what ever happend to just taking creatine and orange juice 45min before workout? Nowadays everyone from young kids to old people at the gym are walking around with a can of turbomegaultrapowerstackbitchwrapcoffeinesuperiorpatentedclinchyourbuttmonster power-drinks.

The original NO2 dhotgun was amazing but got taking.off the market and revamped for theirnown ingrediant purposes i suppose.. THats throw back.like 12 years ago

I workout before work, starting at 6:30ish AM. Assuming I've had enough sleep, I go with plan A:

During the winter, I buy a coffee and muffin on the way to the gym, eat muffin while driving if I'm in my car and sip the coffee during my work out.

If I'm on the motorcycle (only about five or six months a year here) things change a bit. Instant oatmeal before I leave the house, caffeine pill in the changeroom and water during workout.

I try to avoid exceptions, but they are for leg or back days if I'm sick (pretty often lately) or extremely tired - any (or sometimes all) of: ephedrine, clen, noxplode or something similar...I gave up cocaine for good (and forever hopefully) so that one's out.
