Guys, Need help with staying motivated and workout after 12 hour work shift

Guys, So I had to stop lifting because I had to take on family responsibilities 3 years ago. Now I have a chance to go back to gym and hit the weights, But I work in a pharmacy usually 10 hours a day and I am a full time chemical engineering student with pre-pharmacy minor. So when I get home I am exhausted I dont have any motivation to hit the gym. How do I overcome this ? should I take preworkout late in evening so I can workout to max ?
 
Good music always gets me going. Preferably Pantera, Metallica, Mudvayne. You get the point. Personally wouldn't mess with pre workout mixes. Only thing I use in that arena is a cup of coffee pre workout.
 
Get yourself a good preworkout + heavy metal + shame yourself in the mirror, lol. I do construction, 10 + hr days, no matter how exhausted i am i know as soon as i drink my preworkout i am ready to fuckin kill it. Good luck bro!
 
You have to motivate yourself you dont need anything especially preworkout, if you want something you will get it no matter what. I work 16 hours at times im always exhausted but its like a drug if you dont get your fix you wont feel good.

Honestly brother I feel you and if at all possible, wifey willing

Go before. I used to walk in at 0415, pound out 75 ms..be showered and geared up go patrol for 12 hour s . I d hit the rack at 8 pm. It ain t ez but YOU gotta call it.
Trainings integral for my sanity as it keep s depression addiction manic behavior etc in check better than SSRI S and Benzo s. So the avi s a side affect..seriously.
I still hit it no later han 0530 or 0630 and for 6 more month s I m a white trash "violent " felon unemployable till expungement.
But training first is the best way to not only get it done but it aligns my metab and fried synapses up (mindset) so I m fit to be loose in public.

I got up at 330 today to get it in before work. I have to do that 2x a week. The rest of the week I can go in a little later. But I still get up no later than 4 am even on those days even though I can sleep later. Because I want to maintain the habit of getting up early.
You have to develope the habit. So start doing it. Just force yourself to go in as early as you can. Even if your dead tired at first and can only do one set or only ride the bike for 5 min. Just get in there and stay with it. You will start getting used to it and then before you know it, it will be a habit. Once its a habit you just have to maintain it by getting up even when you had a shit sleepless night and just go to the gym. .
Develop some serious self righteousness too. your up before 3/4 s of everyone else is. You are an elite motherf8cker! Own that shit! When your at work and yawning know that you did more today than anyone you work with! Have fun with it.

I just think how bad it sucks when summer comes and I didn't hit my goals. That gets me to the gym on days when I'm not feeling it.
 
The thing is this . at least for me. I've had times working 12 hr shifts away from home 1 hr Drive.
My gym times suffer to 3 days/ wk at 45min-1hr workouts. But, if I stop altogether, the diet stops toomey I can get make gains doing this but by hell I refuse to go backwards. I know my schedule will clear up in the near future and I'll amp up the anty. Until then...do what you can do

Good taste in music my friend. If I had to listen to the crap they play at my gym during workouts I would go insane.
