What would you guys do in this sitaution..The trainers at my gym seem to be oblivious..today i witnessed totally horrible squat form knees way over the toes, barely gettting to parallel, yet this trainer encouraged heavier sets with no advice as to form..i have seen this guy train the same individual a number of times and it seems as though the goal is the heaviest weight possible at all costs..the said individual seems rather young as well (18-22) and on the skinny side..would you step in and try to offer advice? just shake your head at them or do nothing..i generally dont say anything i do my thing and im out but i just see this kid getting injured!

if i knew the gym owner or manager i would call him/her aside and point out the problem .

slap dat bitch in da mouff for being so damn stupid.

seriously though. if i see another trainer doing some stupid stuff i wait and talk with them alone and bring it up. if the member gets hurt then he aint coming back. the members are the mst important folks at the gym.

if the talk dont go well its time to talk with the owner/manager.

the prob with most trainers is that they get bad info when getting certified and dont know any better. i know cause i got certified more as a dare than anything else and was very surprised at the class work. very lacking. half the folks in my class never seen the inside of a gym. its a money racket is all it is. yearly membership dues. more traing. etcc.....

Don't get me started on gym trainers.

Most of these people (not all) have no idea what the fuck they are talking about. You can't learn about this shit from a book. You learn in the gym from experience.

I don't need a certificate to let people know that I know what to do in the gym.

yeah i hear ya easto! got a few PT's and only one of em knows what shes doin..shes a hot lookin babe to boot!
The "strength" trainer at my gym cant even move the irons when organizing the DB rack....shame to watch. The Head trainer is a 6'5 stringbean....

id definetely bring up the issue....but if it is the manager, id do it in privacy, he may not know hes doin shit wrong, no need to embarass him in front of customers.......now, if he gets defensive....refer to PB's post
