Help me learn to be a good personal trainer. . .

10$ per half hour. Eventually I will work out with clients in their homes whenever I figure how to advertise.

I have been a private trainer for the ls the last 9 years. My hourly rate is $50. Keep in mind this amount is very dependent on your local market. If I lived in Cali my rate would be significantly higher.

WHich wow are u training at bro... I would get the NASM, its the most respected certification, and it is a level 2 cert, and you get paid an extra 2.50$ session...

If you know what your doing - Most gyms charge $50.00 a session. I wouldn't let them stick you for any more than 35% of that.

Maybe I need to get a few certificates together before I hit Miami... everybody in Miami wants to walk around butt naked and look great :D

If you want to try for the CSCS later on the NSCA puts out a fairly good text that covers training all age groups, muscle physiology, testing and eval, etc. It's called Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning....it's a little spendy though.

i got ace certified first- pretty easy if you have good study habits. just got nasm certification and it was by far very through and took about three times as long to get through. in fact they recomend that you take about six months to prepare for the testing. as far as rates go 50.00 an hour isnt unreasonable-pretty much the going rate here in northren cali, but you can ask upwards of 100.00 for sport specific training- butter baby- good luck...
