So, at the end of my senior year in high school my calves measure 13 1/4. I would spend the next 15 years trying to put size on them while barely getting any. I tried Arnold's workouts, frequent workouts, constantly changing up work outs with little gain to be had. I took a few years off after getting sick of the fact I had the calves of a 12 year old girl and no chance for symmetry. I'm 35 now and after 2 & 1/2 months of working out I'm sitting pretty at 17 1/2 inches. What changed? I'm not on a cycle or synthol. I'm concentrating on the contraction and holding it for a second or 2 at the top, hold for 10 seconds every 10 reps, I don't go heavy cuz I can't concentrate on and feel the contraction but go as heavy as that allows, I only take 30 secs brake during which I stretch and I only do 8-10 sets a workout. At most I hit em twice a week but the night after i hit them, I'm constantly contracting them. I stay away from seated cuz it mostly hits soleus and my calves were so nonexistent my soleus actually started to over grow my calves making it more difficult to feel there peak contraction. Hope this helps. I where shorts now. Hopefully I can get 18 inches and die happy.
