I use 23g needles and 1mL of oil takes me about 10 seconds to inject. Just to get an idea of what is most common and if longer times generally reduce pain at the site please list how long you spend pushing the plunger.

Sounds about right for me ....
I don't like the lump or the feeling of a fast injection..
No need to cause trauma to the muscle fibers if you can help it.

I still wind up with a lump that lasts for 4 days or so. Doesn't hurt much but is noticable.

Is that for a shoulder injection ? That's the only place I ever get a lump. I also get flu symptoms in the spot as well... So I don't do it there.

There's a big vein that runs down the bicep. If you push through it I imagin there will be a pretty nice bruise there.

Anywhere. Even in my glute. It knots up for a few days and subsides. Could have just been that gear though.

30-60 seconds. I make sure it soaks in before pulling the needle. And i let it sit for a min afterwards.

Holy crap! I'd do more tissue damage trying to hold the needle still that long than I would just shoving it in there.
