depending on what i am doing... i wait at least 5 minutes before even starting to get positioned again, i want as much energy and strength i can possibly have do bust out the last of my work set(s).

i would say i wait about 2 minutes on average. Some routines i wait just a minute (high intensity w/ lower weight) while other days I wait about 5 minutes (heavy weight w/ lower reps).

it depends also on what you are trying to accomplish. some folks respond better for growth with less rest times while others (like myself) do better with long breaks. I train for strength btw. plus i get to talk with the babes a bit. but dont tell my wife. lolololol

I tend to listen to my body. Depends on the lift too. For becnh usually 90 to 120. Also I should mention for me it also depends if im using Creatin or not. On creatine my recovery between sets is a hell of a lot quicker. Any one lese experiencing noticeabler recovery enhancement with the use of creatine here?

it depends...when i'm doing squats i wait for about 2-3 min.

but if i'm doing more isolating exercises (everything else) i usually wait about 1-1.5 min.

Usually 2 min but in deads and squats (hack) I wait unitill I feel ready, and it's usually about 3 min.
In isolation exercies maybe less than 2 min.

I usually do strength training. Used to i would watch clock and give it 90 secs. Now i do what feels god to muscle. I bet i range from 4 mins on big muscle groups to 2-2.5 on others

About a minute between exercises, but usually only 30 seconds between sets. I really have trouble getting the blood flowing with Weights, I need a good long run to do that. Which really wierds people out when I am at the gym in the morning and yawning rather loudly when I am curling and pressing.

WOW, anyone that rests a 1-2 minutes between squats and deads must be training with girl weights and not very intensly at that.

2-4 on assistance work, and 4-10 on heavy squats deads and GM's, 4-5 doing heavy pressing or bent rows.

Hard to train for strength on 60 second rests, and who here is strong enough??

There is a time and place for FAST paced training, but I am willing to bet that 80+% here are not there yet.
