How long until your testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) kicked in?

How long until your trt kicked in?

I just switched from androgel to shots 5 days ago. I was wondering how long your testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) took for you to feel noticeably better.

right around week 6 or 7 for me. but it honestly depends how well dialed in you are with your estrogen and other hormone levels.

It took me a few months but only because I had to dial in E2. Most people feel a difference somewhere around weeks 4-6. Although, since you were already on T, you may not feel significantly different ever unless the gel worked really horribly for you.

Really noticed at 8 weeks. But I wouldn't say it "kicks in" ....you just kinda realize that you feel better and libido etc is better...and then it's get even better! :)

I'm in week 5 and so far have noticed nothing. Seems that's not unusual though; there's a good pubmed paper here ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21753068. (Google for "Onset of effects of testosterone treatment and time span" if that link is disallowed by the forum mods). It discusses expected delays until a range of effects is seen.

I'm on my second pin and I defianently feel more energy, focus, and a slight bump in libido. Gym wise I am not as sore as normal days after workouts and want to keep smashing weights like crazy.

I'm pinning every 7 days @100mg of test cyp. I don't know your protocol but most of the guys I've talked to say pin #3 which for me is in 3 days.

Yeah I've heard nothing but crap when it comes to the gels. I wish you the best man. But what the other guys said you may have to get your Estrogen dialed in!

I never had any high e2 symptoms before or now so I doubt I'm gonna have any issues. But I'll find out when I do my follow up. Hang in there you will notice a difference soon! Like Corvette said you will have morning wood I had mine 48 hours after pin #2!

thanks for the input. The gel had me at 220 after 6 months at 2 pumps daily 1.62. It was at 350 3 months ago. I'm just excited to feel better. I also had to switch doctors to change this script.I will just need to be patient.

Whats your new protocol right now for injections?

All the way dialed in?

4 months.

I felt better along the way month after month, but it wasn't unitl I REDUCED my test dosage that I really felt all the way dialed in. I went from 200mg of Test Cyp E5D to 75mg E3D (every 84 hours).

Test level seems to hover around 1200. My body didn't really respond well to being over 1500 total test or higher all the time. E2 runs around 15-25 taking .25mg of Adex EOD and 300 IU's of HCG EOD.

I also take DHEA, B Complex, Armour Thyroid 60mg, Vitamin D and Fish oil and eat clean the 3J way.

:dance2:

When you start waking up with morning wood.. Thats when you know your are in range. Good luck..
This shows how everyone is different. Despite having significant symptoms, prior to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), I would wake up with morning wood with a total T of 87. Any indicator of success of negative symptom for one person will not necessarily apply to all.

I began noticing improvements in the gym by my second pin... Day 5 or so. Put on 15lbs the first 6 weeks... Prior to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) I had been getting weaker and weaker despite always working out. I'm about 2 months in and I'm still not getting morning wood (still not dialed in), bit I've been feeling better since about week two.

what does it mean E2 dialed in?

is it something that corrects itself or do you need to take something if your E2 is out of whack

Getting E2 at the right level is even more important than getting T at a certain level. If you doctor isn't testing and treating your E2, it is time to find a new doctor!

You must be on Test Prop with that fast of a change!

No test c through maximus, years ago I did a few prohormone cycles and got up where I am now (195 lbs) and lost it after every cycle...I'm thinking my t has been low for many years, making post cycle therapy (pct) suck. So it probably shot up so fast because of muscle memory. I also was on 200mg e5d and that got my total t over 1500, so that explains a lot. I just backed down to 150mg. Still getting stronger every week.

I figured anyone at 200mg e5d would have really good gains. Just look in the steroids forum..... The sticky that has a study done on 300mg vs 600mg test a week. The 300mg group did awesome... 200mg e5d is basically the same as 300mg a week... Both equal about 1200mg a month.

I started around Feb 11th with 1ml of test cyp every 5 days. I just came back from a cruise vacation and was intensely horny. I had sex 4 times during the week when my norm has been maybe once per month (yeah, it was bad). I have been having wood every day I wake up plus all through the night as well. In fact, just got wood typing this response. I was a bit impatient with the time needed to ramp up but I'm smiling now!

I'm getting one shot every 2 weeks of 200mgs. I know what you're gonna say and I'm hoping to get this changed. I don't take the script home. I will get my levels tested tomorrow and a shot next Monday. The Doc shot me with 2cc for my first shot for 400mg to get started. But I stopped taking the androgel also so I guess I'm gonna have to be patient. I will eventually do my own shots but he wants to get me on the correct protocol first.

Hang in there man he will get you dialed in soon! Sounds like he has a good plan and will eventually let you pin yourself soon which is always nice!
