how much time do you train???

heres the deal.....

today I trained my arms...
I got to the gym @ 5pm...
and I was out by 5:40 pm...

is that bad?? for some reason I feel like I had a good work out but when I leave I feel like I did not spend enough time @ the gym??? does any one ever get this???

I mean when I train I train, don't hold conversations with any one..I do set after set rep after rep... but I am usualy done in like 40 min or so...I am also on decca/sus...should I be training harder or is this good??

I also just started creatine and glutamine

that could be fine but it depends,,,how many muscles did you workout?

i spend about 1 hour on leg day, 1.5 on bis + back, 2 on tris, chest, shoulders. long as your getting to all your muscles in the 40 mintues theres no problem. how long you been working out for?
 
Lets say u use a five day split, then 40min is good, over an hour it aint all that good, u get to catabolic.

if i do 3 diff muscles in one day, and my workout goes past 1 hour, do all my muscle cells go to catabolic? like if i did chest for 1 hour, then would my tris and shoulders be in a catabolic state? im just curios.
 
as long as your getting quality hardworking heavy sets in there, I wouldn't worry too much about time.

5 of us working out together get it done in 1 1/2 hours bro--thats blistering for 5 guys--
 
thx....I was just feelin a bit down on my self thinking that I was not working out hard enough or long enough...
when I do train I mean I do train very hard....so I hope that I will get the most out of my cycle....thx for the post bro's
 
Intensity is the key, when i train im in my little world and i only focus on the training. I get it done in like 45min tops 1hour.
 
Almost always less than an hour unless I get distracted in the gym. Some days people just want to chat you up--I try not to get distracted then my entire workout lasts less than an hour.
 
I have a 2 day split right now. 3 times a week.

Day 1, which is Chest, Shoulders and abs takes me like 35 minutes

Day 2, Legs, back and biceps takes like an hour because of breaks between sets of heavy deads and squats
 
im usually out of there within an hour, unless its leg day.. that takes me about an hour and a half... although every once in a while i start talkin to ppl so things tend to get prolonged that way hehe
