what is the method of testing the melting points?
Take like 100mg and put it on some aluminum foil in a preheated oven and check that the temp is like 10 degrees COOLER than what its supposed to melt at. Then put it in and make sure it doesnt melt, check temp again. BTW do all the checking of melting with the oven OFF because it heat cycles.
Next bump up the temp 10 degrees and turn the oven off when it gets there (check temp) and put the sample back in. Wait a few minutes and check for meltage.

If its MP is 300 degrees and it didnt melt at 290 or 300 but melted when you tried 310, its close enough and by referencing the physical propeties you can be pretty sure.
this is a basic way to test MPs. You can get more advanced, but in homebrew you just need basics.

i didnt mean to offend. i unfortunately wont have time to test them (using melting point test) until next week so i thought i could just describe it.
that sounds legit Tranq, but its hard to tell just from that. Did you verify your source?

Hello all im new here but have been reading this board for quite some time. Ive been preparing my own meals for the past 7 years ever since i ended up getting sick from a really reputable restaurant. Since then i have had no problems. Ive gone through a few vendors here and there, they have come and gone as they all do.
My problem....
I am dealing with a situation now where i dont know what to do. i recently recieved proviron from a new guy. kinda looks like sand in appearence....white color. ive been taking it for a full week now at 75mg/ml and nothing at all.... no wood...no wanting to bang everything in site....i only ever remember getting great quality proviron one time from the same guy ive used for the past 6 years. however his proviron turned out to be bunk. so i thought i would try someone new... same issue.. i usually notice an intense libido surge within 3-5 days.... and now nothing nothing at all...i did a crude melting point test.. i have an electric stove. i put dbol and proviron on there, and the proviron melted before the dbol did.... i thought proviron had a high melting point? the dbol from my other source, had a kinda funky recognizable tast to it and been that way for quite some time... cant really say any taste with proviron... either......
ive talked with my old source about it, he said its hit and miss with some people.... i really didnt like hearing that... im waiting for the new source to get back to me....
i dont know what to do..... my old man is 61 years old use to bodybuild and been asking me about proviron.....i certainly dont want to give him this garbage.......shitty part is i spent $$$ on this stuff.
any ideas? i have 3 guys 2 of them i tried same result i really dont feel like spending more $$$ on the third one.
any help is appreciated

what does rotation mean? i need a mods help here, from a safety perspective, im a little concerned now about what im putting in my body. im willing to spend $$ to have some stuff tested, but i dont know where to go.

The rotation refers to the physical orientation of the molecule. For your purposes, it is irrelevant.

i already ran these powders in my last cycle which i ended and they were legit. i actually wanted to have a crack at melting and testing them anyway.
the anavar worked perfectly
dbol i found it melted a little bit lower than the set temp roughly 160*c and crystallized higher than the set temp. after crystallizing i couldnt get it to melt a second time no lower than 170-180*c...i had to get another sample and the same thing happened...could this be because dbols melting point isnt very high so the hormone gets damaged easily? in any case why did it melt earlier than 160*c? its melting point is roughly 162/163*c
i found when i melted the anavar i could keep changing it from solid/liquid at the set temperature without problems. it did change colour to yellow permanently.

That melting point test is a good one, thanks for that data.
Whenever I mix up a batch my first injection is very tiny. I wait a day, then take a real injection. I just figure if I got some dangerous shit, the small injection isn't as likely to completely fuck me up like 2-3cc would.
