HRT Exit Strategy...

Cashout, just wondering how you are feeling since stopping the Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)? The same better any change being 90 days out on how you feel?
thanks

I feel great right now. I feel as good now as I did while on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and equally as good as at any point prior to my decline.

Remember, my reasons for starting Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) were a decline in recover capacity, mental focus, a 30% drop in my test levels and the fact that I started getting colds/flu every 4 moths or so.

At this point, my conclusion is that I was significantly over trained and really did not need HRT.

I've trained 100% and followed my diet 100% for 27 years and never had any instance of over training.

Beginning in 2006 and lasting through mid 2010, there were some new factors that really added tremendous stress to my life. I failed to recognize my situation and therefore, I did not take the appropriate actions to keep myself from becoming over trained.

Once I started to slide down the slope my reaction was "train harder." That is 100% the wrong course of action and only made things worse.

Throughout 2010, many of the stresses that were contributing to my condition were eliminated. In hindsight, I realized how big a factor those variables were in my life.

I now believe Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) was more of a means through which I was able to cope.

I don't foresee a need for me to go back on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) at this point.

Cash,
Thanks for sharing. LOTS of great info. Very much appreciated. This will help a great deal of people.

"At this point, my conclusion is that I was significantly over trained and really did not need HRT."

Cashout, what were your test levels before starting trt?

Cashout thanks for the reply glad you're feeling well, didn't you say you were or just got another blood test, if so how was it,? Is your Test Level staying steady? Also, what happened to your Avatar/picture?
Thanks a lot

FYI...On my way to get blood drawn this morning. Was suppose to be tomorrow but I have a conflict - going to the beach house for a few weeks - so I am getting it done this AM.

Should have results on Tuesday of next week.

This marks 90 days post exit plan.

Will report numbers next week.

Cashout
Did you get your blood work back yet or maybe you are still at the beach house?

anybody know the results...did cash saty off testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? did he fully recover T levels and stay recovered?

i think this is important to many of us thx all

So why is he not posting now? I read 8 pages of this and not get any closure? Lol

Cash people count on you for an update.

How the hell are you?

As I have recently past my 2 year anniversary of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), I have spent some time reflecting on what I have accomplished with this program.
After extensive research, I turned to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) a possible solution to my declining test levels in 2009. At the time Istarted Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), my test level was 579 ng/dl. Not low by most standards but about 30% off my normal levels of 900+ ng/dl that I had maintain for some 15 years.
The symptoms of my declining test were as follows...
1. Frequent overtraining. I had reached a point for the first time in my bodybuilding lifestyle where about every 3 months, I would find myself overtrained. In 20 years daily committed train, this had never happened before.
2. Persistent and chronic minor illness. I had begun a steady process of developing repetitive colds and flu-like illnesses that were a function of #1 above.
3. Loss of muscle mass. Because of #1 & especially #2 above, I had drop about nearly 10 pounds of quality muscle.
4. Lack of metal focus. Again, I had never experienced this in my adult life in any capacity. Focus and will are the only things that I have ever possessed in abundance.

In my 2 years on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), I can say that I have remedied all of the above symptoms. So, I would declare my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) a smashing success.
However, there is still one facet of my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) that I have yet to assess my EXIT STRATEGY.
Like everything business related Ive owned and been involved in, I always have an exit strategy in the event that it is ever needed.
So, at this juncture, I am considering testing my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Exit Strategy to see if will indeed produce the results that I expect.
I am considering this not as a means to quit Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) but to reassure myself that I have covered all my bases and can proceed forward on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for the indefinite future knowing that if there is ever an issue down the road, I have already operationalize and tested my exit strategy successfully.
I started constructing my exit strategy based on some of my own previous research and personal experiences from my days using AAS to supplement by competitive bodybuilding. Also, Ive spent a tremendous amount of time and energy in the past 4 weeks discussing my exit strategy with several very knowledgeable physicians.
So, here is the plan that we have constructed and I will follow

Week HCG Clomid Nolva Letro
1 M/W/F/Su 2000 1.25 M/Th
2 T/Th/Sa 2000 1.25 M/Th
3 M/W/F 2000 1.25 M/Th
3 Sat/Sun 100 40 1.25 M/Th
4 Every Day 100 40 1.25 M/Th
5 100 40 1.25 M/Th
6 100 40 1.25 M/Th
7 40 1.25 M/Th
8 40 1.25 M/Th
9 1.25 M/Th
10 1.25 M/Th

I will take my last 100 mg shot of test cyp on the Monday one week before I start my exit. During the week before exiting, I will also have my blood work done for comparative purposes.
My blood work will be done again on the Friday of the 3rd week towards the end of the HCG treatments, again when I discontinue the clomid treatments, and finally, two weeks after I complete the Nolva treatments.
So, I hope to kick this exit strategy off on the Monday Dec 5th.
I will chronicle the results here for those who are interested.
did gear at the ages of 17 and 19.. 1 cycle a year i believe test E and deca D.and with a PCT both times just nolvadex tho..
Also about 2 months ago I had done a week of super DMZ 2.0 for 1 week..and I took about 10 pills of nolvadex 2 pills a day..

I'm 20 years old now and have low testosterone ..its 203ng/DL
I'm getting my estrogen and free test levels done shortly..
I know I'm dumb as a mother***r ..but I'm really nervous now and have no clue what to do..my endocrinologist says I should wait another 6 weeks to see if I can recover...
Some one told me to ask you about a restart protocal..

Or should I just wait for my next blood test..
I'm not trying to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for my whole life ..it seems like I can't function like this tho..
Any help would be great..sorry for putting this in this thread but I can't message u personally

Cash - I know I am late to the thread. Haven't even read through to the end yet but am dying to know the end result. (update - Just read through it all and am so stoked that it worked as I think my crash that led me to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) was caused by overtraining and stress as well). Would you lind providing an update almost a year later now and I am really curious if things are still going smoothly.

There were some previous comments about HCG. I've read HCG studies all the way back to the 70s and one general fact I came away with is IF you still have progenitor Leydig cells, the HCG in a high enough dose will stimulate the production of adult cells and adult cell population will increase in number and size (hypertrophy and ?? - forget other term). So even if you have decimated your testes with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) cruising or avoided proper post cycle therapy (pct), those progenitor cells are still there in most cases and Leydig population can be restored.

Curious to know what the risks, negatives, would be to his protocol if he continued on a mild dose of Letro or Adex for 3 months more..
i.e. 0.25 mg EOD
Would this "crash" his HPTA?
