Hey Guys,

I'm 43 years old, very good shape for my age (people think I'm 30), 6 foot, 180lbs, lean athletic build. I play sports, and hit the gym about 2 times per week forever - sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. I enjoy pizza and beers with the guys if you know what I mean so I've never been cut. I have lost muscle consistantly for the past 5-7 years and I notice it, it's harder to keep the muscle on and easier to get soft around the edges. I'm in great health, each year doctor gives me 2 thumbs up. I've never had my test levels checked. I'm about to be divorced (final stages) so I'm a little stressed right now.

I have 2 best friends that have used anabolic steroids for 10 years and are very successfully. They do the homework, are religous about it and it shows. They took me to lunch and said it's time... They've notices my muscle "decay" (for lack of a better word) at the pool/beach and want to help me out. With a grain of salt I agreed, I just said take it easy on me, I have no desire to be big, cut, ripped etc.. Well they sent me off with 2 vials of Cypoinate, a bunch of needles and said 250MG every 4 days. I trust these guys with my life and know they would never hurt me...

Well, whoa! I am 3 weeks into my 6 week program and I feel awesome. I got my ass back (literally). My upper chest that had slowly disintigrated over the past 10 years is already back. It's true I'm working out more and harder, but the desire to do so has increased as well. I feel stronger, 10 years younger. Everything just feels bigger and more tight. They told me that they do 2-3 times that amount themselves and that this was a small dose. I just find it hard to believe how well it works.

With everything good usually comes bad.. I know my own test levels will drop, possibly grow hair in places I dont want it (no sign of that). Acne (no sign of that), etc.. What can I expect long term? Thanks for reading and taking the time.

If you do a safe cycle, you should get bloodwork and all, you should have minimal if any long term effects......But in reality, you could of just got your diet in check and training without the gear...

I bet if you would've had your testosterone level checked precycle it was low. At your age I'd look into TRT...

I'm glad you are enjoying and are happy with your cycle.

You are 43 years old and more than likely your Test levels are low and have been low for several years.
You will feel great as long as you continue to boost your Test. Once you run out of the Test you will probably start to feel like crap again.
IMO your best bet would be to get on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and continue to feel good for the rest of your life.

Am I wrong in thinking that his friends forgot to educate him about something???? Perhaps his PCT or an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to go along with his TEST especially since his levels are probably low as stated.

Congrats man. Glad to hear you are having good results. In life you are either growing or dying. I recommend working out regularly like you have been and using the minimum cycles you can to maintain the levels you feel productive at. Great book on anti-aging is by Ray Kurzweil called Transcend (also wrote Fantastic Voyage - How to live long enough to live forever - but that is older book). Its about reprogramming your biochemestry with nutrition and vitamins. Doesn't talk gear (thats what ology is for) but everything else...

PS - if your doctor is giving you two thumbs up you might ask him to use only one - doesn't hurt as bad and just as accurate at checking out the plumbing....LOL

I'm 42 and was in a similar position except I put on a lot of weight over the last few years. I finally went to the doc and was diagnosed with low T and have been on a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) program for about 8 months. Like others have said, I'd be willing to bet your testosterone numbers were low to begin with.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and complete the cycle you're running but make sure you do a lot of reading here about post cycle therapy (PCT). There are some chemicals you need to run at the end of the cycle to help keep estrogen levels down and to help restart your body's natural testosterone production. Without that stuff you're going to crash after the cycle and feel like shit, and probably lose a lot of the gains you've made while on the cycle. PCT IS IMPERATIVE.

Most people who run a cycle and do a proper PCT will have their natural test levels returned to normal after a few weeks. What I suspect you may find is your levels remain low even with a good PCT because of your age and pre-cycle symptoms of low T. You need to go to the doc and get some blood work done about a month after you have completed your PCT and see where your numbers are at. If you're test levels are low you would then be able to start on a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) program. A sensible testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) program is actually what your probably needed in the first place -- not a cycle. The difference between the two (mainly) is the dose.

You're currently running 500mg each week (split in two doses of 250mg). That is not a "light" cycle for a beginning. That's about right for someone using AAS for the first time. It wil put your blood levels of testosterone into the "supraphysiological" realm -- meaning, off the charts for normal testosterone levels. That's not a bad thing for the purposes of body building, but that's not sustainable for the long term and frankly it doesn't sound like that's your goal.

A testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose will be about 100mg - 200mg EW. That's dose you can maintain long term and will put your levels in the upper 3rd of the reference range for "normal" blood levels. You will experience much of the benefits you're experiencing now but you won't feel like Superman.

I can't emphasize enough -- look into what you're going to need for PCT and you also might want to look into buying an "AI" to run while you're on cycle. Some quick research will lead you to understand why it may be important.

Good luck.

Looks like the guys have everything covered. I would add one thing: If you are going through a divorce, hide your gear (and associated paraphernalia) as you would stolen diamonds. Especially if kids are involved. Dispose of your spent needles/vials/syringes as you would a body. Seriously. If your soon to be ex, or one of the kids (if any) finds any of that shit, serious trouble could arise. Trust me, the paranoia is justifiable. I am not an attorney, but I do share a bed with one.

Poly

thats awesome bro, i agree with the guys. very happy you are doing well, and i would def be a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) candidate at your age. especially if your seeing those results at such a low dose, it ca only mean you have low natty test levels. get a script ASAP so you can cover your ass as poly suggested

Just a quick few comments here, Like jamie said, don't you think you should have just started with cleaning up your diet and hitting the gym more often and consistantly first? Juice DOES make me FEEL more deticated, but only becuase I've done juice before and know what kind of gains I can expect if I do everything right..My dads friend used to be in the bb scene and his son kept asking his dad for some gear. The dad gave him some pills and told em to take 2 a day for 8 weeks.. The kid got his diet and training and check and at the end of the 8 weeks kept bragging how much he gained. Afterwards his dad told them they were $29.99 creatine pills NOT steroids and 98% of his gains were from his natural hard work. 80% of that shit is all in your head. Im not sure if it would have been safe to shoot water in your ass LOL, but i'd be really curious to see if you'd still be having "great results" right now.. Another thing is you shoulda just went to the dr and got a legit perscription, at 42 I cant imagine your test levels are up to par, maybe you could be put on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and do test yr round... Regaurdless, good luck with your cycle, maybe you could post some pics so we can critique your physique.

If anything your buddies shoulda filled your "test vials" up with water and at the end of your "cycle" asked you how you felt and then they can tell you it was all you. My friends dad did this to him once and the kid couldnt stop bragging to me on how much he gained and how focused he was LOL. 80% of that shit is all in your head... i disagree

the guy is 43, imagine being in PCT all the time, if his test levels were low thats how he felt.

i dont wanna go to the gym during PCT either. you guys are critiquing him like he is 25

But dude, read his post again, he says he's athletic, plays sports and hits the gym already without the test, he didnt say that he was tired... What he DID say was that he drinks beer and eats pizza, which makes me believe that his diet sucks and hes not motivated... IMO which I think im still entitled to, the test DID OBVIOUSLY benefit him GREATLY but I think it;s what motivated him as well... I would put a few dollars that says he works out more then 2 days a week now as well?

Thank you very much for the advice. I'm very impressed with all your feedback and knowledge.

I spoke to the boys and I was wrong I thought I was doing this for 6 weeks but its 12.

I asked them about PCT and Aromatase inhibitor (AI). For PCT it will be Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) or Clomid..? That was the response. 9 weeks away. For Aromatase inhibitor (AI) they said eh, not now, they are watching me weekly and have an eye on my chest. Told me to tell them if my nipples get very sensitive or hot.

What does "AI" stand for?

As for my diet - I eat right overall. No fast food, low saturated fat across the board. I do weekend warrior it a bit with cocktails, pizza and pasta (I just dont want to give the impression that I'm a junk food hound). Oatmeal for breakfast every day. The boys told me to add a protein shake to my diet in the morning so I added that, and will hit one after the gym as well.

It's true before just jumping into steroids maybe I should have cleaned the diet up, trained harder, etc.. The divorce sucks the will out of ya tho.

After this cycle I will do it right, I will have blood work done and see if I can get on a clean testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) plan.

Again, thank you - Anything else?

Sounds like your friends are just that..friends..
I to am on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and when I stray it s with elevated doses of my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) med...test e ( or other short ester s or low dose oral s) so that in the event of a court ordered drug test.. cuz my ex is a -unt..I will come back postitive for just that..test e.
I too was feeling rough a bout 18 month s ago..knew my level s were low...did a cycle to feel better...did no pct thereby TANKING my levels and came back at 110..or half of minimum...TRT for me.
So glad you feel better...get you some 25-30 yr old tail and you ll feel even better.

Sounds like your EX and mine are related.

Elevated exo test can turn into estrogen through a process known as aromatization in which our body convert s test to estro try to maintain a balance..side s can include water retention, gynocomastia..these two are the most prevalent.
Ai..Aromatose Inhibitor
