i need help with my low end power on deads.

pretty ricky

family man
I have started to pull on 2 plates stacked. It has made a big diference in the weight i can handle.I was thinking of using bands.I tried to use em the last w/o but to get tension on the bottom i had to choke em up pretty good and they just pulled the db's off the floor. My ? is what should i use.

pulling off plates\blocks is great i loved doing them...and once i went back to pulling off the floor i was pulling more weight.

good luck

block pulls are great

the other option is to get a JS platofmr to pull using the bands...

cinching up the bands too much to get bottom tension will not allow you to use any sort of weight..youll wind up using huge amounts of bands tension and very little bar weight..not really the best way to go..

all the top westside pullers use only minis that give 100 at the bottom and around 200 at the top..you almst never see them using bands bigger than minis attached to the platform..hard to argue with pullers like Thompson, Chuck V, Ruggiera, Stafford, Matt Smith, JL etc

i got ya i just like the way bands feel.the plates are definately kicking the ole ass.the js basicaly a board with eye hooks?

that looks a lil' easier on the feet.i found the one pb made but i think he said use a 2x6 that seems to narrow to stand on to me.you could use 5/8" plywood just triple or use four pices to get the thickness recess the bolts on the bottom then you could make it to the efs specs.
