ok guys im back and alive.

heres the deeleo. i have had tachycardio since i was a teen. i had an attack friday night that lasted for over 3 hours. i got scared and called 919. the short vesrsion is: they said i had a major heart attack, sustained major heart damage, and had at least one blocked artery that needed to be repaired. my heavy lifting days are over. i was in ICU all weekend on blood thinners until i was transferred to WMH for the cardiac cath and shint/s to be placed to free my clogged arteries. but in true sniffy fasion when the cath was done i had 0 blockage, no heart damage, and the doc said my heart is perfect with the exceptiopn of the tachycardio (electrical problem) which will be repaired ina few weeks.

all my blood work (with the exception of the elevated cardiac enzymes from the tachycardio) came back excellent. cholesterol 176, triglycerides 126. my liver and kidney #s were sluightly elevated but that is normal for someone who lifts heavy regularly.

i am not taking sides on the steroid debate but the cardiologist (a well respected cardiologist) who first saw me told me the juice caused my high cholestrol that had clogged my arteries and led to my heart attack. guess he aint as smart as he thought he was. let me rephrase, cholesterol 176, triglecerides 126, and 0% blockages in any arteries surrouinding the heart.

anyway ill be lifting light for the next couple of months til i get my procedure done and heal up from that. after that its on again. i think the few months off from the ponding will do my body good and ill be completely fresh for my wpo push next year. i am devoting the rest of ths year to leaning out even more (shooting for 260) and getting myself back in top cardio shape.

this is the short vesrsion of the story, the long version will be posted in the near future.

thanks for all the phone calls, pms and prayers.

Glad your okay. :druggie:

Glad to hear you are doing okay PB... I had no idea what was going on.

I know you have a passion for PLing, but remember... your health should come first.

im healthy, thats the irony. it was a misdiagnoses. :D

all my levels were excellent. i did not have a heart attack. i do not have a blockage. my cholesterol is good. trigleserides were excellent.

better that then a misdiagnoses of them telling you youre healthy then getting very sick or having an attack etc....

regardless good to here everythings ok, and good luck with the future dealings.

Glad to hear your okay after the attack, and even more glad to hear your in pretty fucking good health too. I didnt know that any of this had happened. My thoughts are with you big bubba, get that firing problem fixed and heal up.

The first paragraph freaked me out.

Good to hear you're doing fine.

Damn Papa....I had no idea any of this was going on. Take it slow, heal up, and then get back at it.

So didn't they check the chest film before catheterizing you and attempting a stent? Do they make you pay for the procedure when it turns out to have been a misdiagnosis? Will a bigwig cardiologist be paying higher malpractice insurance rates soon?

Proving malpractice is harder and harder everyday-

Although I don't know exaclty what happened it would be hard to say that the standard of care he received was below par.

Last it is hard to find a good lawyer for malpractice. Reason it costs a lot to try a malpractice case and not many lawyers are willing to risk losing all that money with a case that is not A.) Going to net them serious $$$ B.) Is a shoe in to win.

My dad was sued on a bad baby case (did nothing wrong) and the other side ended up losing. It put 2 lawyers out of business-

Also just to give you an example of a misdiagnosis----Most of you know I broke my hand (farily bad) and 2 doctors and 2 radiologists missed the fracture (Ray Charles could have seen it -) and I went around for 3 1/2 weeks using what I was told was a sprained finger.

I had several lawyers tell me that it was not worth their time.

So with all that crap and hijacking pullinbigs thread----

I'M GLAD TO SEE YOUR ALRIGHT!!!!!

glad it wasn't as serious as first assumed

your mind must have been racing 110mph's when they told you it was a heart attack

have fun leaning down
