Injection-Free TRT!!!

Apologies for resurrecting a thread nearly a year since the last post...

Was recently diagnosed with low-T and been prescribed test in troche form, at 200mg troches. i used to work with a guy who took test (injections) and i could always tell when he was on a cycle (we worked out together) as he'd be pushing past his prior plateaus. i feel stupid asking, but wanted to know - should i expect any sort of performance enhancement (other than sexual) taking this dosage and in this form? i've been assuming 'not' because i'm starting with such low numbers (from my bloods).

Was your buddy taking T in the form of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (as you will be doing) or was he doing cycles? Big difference.

He was doing cycles.

So basically testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is going to raise my test to a level where it should be, but there won't likely be any super-beneficial enhancements as part of that?

side-note: i know my Dr pretty well and could possibly change to injections, but am still assuming this is all to get me to a 'normal' level, where-as folks on cycles are pushing themselves above normal, hence the benefit in the gym?

You should feel MUCH better than you probably do now with your Low T; but you are just going to take enough T to get you back to normal levels. There are a lot of postings about injections vs. other forms that should help you make that decision.

When I started my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (100mg weekly injections of Test Cyp) I started feeling amazingly better by the end of the first week. Every week after that kept getting better. I suddenly had energy to do things again -- including lots of sex and a desire for it. I felt physically stronger. People noticed that my performance in sports was much better. Sometimes people had to do a double-take to see if that was really me out there. My concentration at work was improved. And I didn't feel like a grumpy old man anymore (except maybe at the end of the week before my next injection).

There are some downsides to TRT. I am having problems with high estrogen levels but I just got my doctor to prescribe an Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) to control that. I will have to see how that works out for me. A lot of people on this forum are taking AI's. I am getting more acne. And my testicles are shrinking. But I am not planning on having more kids so I am not taking anything to prevent that since those medications seem to create other issues along with added cost.

You have found a good forum on TRT. Just spend time going back and reading old posts. If you can't find the answer to your question post it and people here can usually help. But don't confuse testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with doing cycles. If you want to know about cycles there is lots of information about that in other forums on this website. I hope you start feeling better.
