is basmati rice good for sizing up?

I'm not a bodybuilder!
I have been eating about 4-500 Gram of basmati rice a day, I love the stuff now, it tastes brilliant! been mixing it up with veggies and tuna/salmon/mackeral (tinned)

my diet is ok, I do eat a lot of other stuff for my carbs, eg: sweet potatoes, pasta and couscous, But im thinking of sticking to this for my source of carbs because I love it!

I know the body can get used to steroids/creatine etc.. but food is needed! can't it just be as simple as sticking to one decent source of carbs?

My goal is to get strength and power in training! Not tone up! Any advice?
