ok this is my routine and i've been using it for five months now, switching exercises every four weeks or so, when I started this I was 215 now I am 235 at 6'2". I only use creatine and protein shakes no roids yet, but I'd love to try hgh anyways tell me if this routine is shit and gimme some tips if it is:

each day is 6 exercises, 3 sets each for 6-10 reps.

monday - chest
tues - back
wed - legs(calve, hams, quads)
thurs - shoulders
fri - bi's, tri's
sat - mostly cardio and abs
sun - usually off unless i miss a workout or feel like doing cardio

Only thing I see is, 18 sets for each bodypart will EVENTUALLY lead to overtraining, IMO, unless you have stellar recovery abilities. As long as it's working for you, keep at it, just be sure to keep a careful eye on your body for signs of overtraining.

as long as its working dont change. once it dose quit working (if it does) then you can make alterations. keep up the good work. when you quit making strength gains on a regular basis then you know it has quit working.

18 sets per bodypart, damn, I dont know how you grow from that, I have well over a decade in the gym and would overtrain in a week on that

Speaking of overtraining, how do you avoid that on your 5x5 program? I LOVED it, but after about 5 months, I quit gaining, started getting joint pain, etc. In short, I was overtrained. How do you prevent that on the program?

dont follow the routine for that long then, everyone hits that wall at a different pace, so if you know your limit is say 4-5 months, try 2-3 months, then coast for a bit doing a low volume approach

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm doing now. I finally realized (accepted) that I'd hit the wall, so I laid back for a while (2 weeks, very low intensity) and now I'm doing the DoggCrapp program, keeping the low intensity approach. I'm definitely going back to 5x5 here in a few months though.
