IUDs & 7 days of no sex

One of the hardest things I have ever done! I am getting a new IUD put in on Tuesday so the doctors say no sex for 7 days prior to the implantation. This sucks, I am suffering through this, I hope it is worth it!

My fiancee has had two friends in the last year that have nearly died from blot clots that the doctors have said in both cases it was related to birth control???? she is looking into the IUD method as well. any input blondie plus and negatives of IUD? curious!!

Just a caution for you with the mirena. Even though it's very low hormones...it can cause the chin acne. I have had two of them. My first one was fine for 5 years, then just put in a "new fresh" one (lol). And I had that thing practically ripped out of me, it caused breakouts so bad. The plus side I do miss was no worries and no periods though.
