Just pulled a 20 repper with 405 - Hats off to the janitor

Ive never really experienced TRUE projectile vomiting until I pulled 405 for 20 this week. Ive puked plenty of times sure, but this one was special. Scared a few guys in the locker room too which was a huge bonus. :insane2:
 
Damn son. I've done 10 a time or two and stopped due to pure nauseousness.

Off the floor, touch and go. Its almost all cardio by rep 15, which mine sucks. Yet I still managed to get a nice jog in (on the way to the bathroom to puke :p )
 
Thanks, been working on a decent dead and squat. My bench sucks though, its really prevented me from persuing any competative PLing. I find bodybuilding to be a lil on the show-boatin side but its a better fit for my iron addiction. Id like to do a meet though just for fun. I can probably total 1500 raw right now.

out of curiousity what part of your bench fails you , off the chest /middle/lockout ?

Well me and IA have been working on it. My lockout sucks but is improving. The mid point of a full bench is where I stall. I can get just about anything off my chest about 6-8 inhces but when its time for my tri's to do some work they just dont.

rack lockouts , board presses , reverse band bench and shirt work should make you a bench press machine .
 
Got em all in the arsenal. Right now doing modified WSB with board presses and some 8x3's for mixed CNS and hypertrophy type training. Its really working well thus far.

Band work, see thats an area of work Ive never delved into. How much do you think band/chain work would help me?

i love chains , and use anywhere from 50 pounds -150 depending on the mood , they work the lockout and teach you to accelerate through to the top imo . i use bands occasionally but i enjoy reverse bands the most with green bands hung from the top of a squat rack to lighten the load at the bottom but its pretty much all you at the top .
