Just started HRT

I just got my first injection from doc today. It's for six months of test cypinate. I could have taken the stuff right home from the pharmacy but decided againts that (to tempting) so instead I went to my doc and he gave me the injection. I think I have been suffering from borderline low test since my first very botched cycle when I was young and very stupid. The reason I think this is because even after five years off my nuts never came back to there full size and when I got my levels checked they were on the very low end of normal. I will be taking 100mg every two weeks. Does anybody know if this will put me within the normal range for adult male? Or should I do a little more supplementation of my own to get me to a borderline high range. I will probably have to wait for blood test in a couple of months to find out. I will post on that when the results come. Does any body think I should take any anti e's? or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)? Avena sativa?

Talk to Swale! He is the man! I was put on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) after having a test level of 198 after being off for 12 months. I used one box of androgel and then jumped on a cycle, not light either. I came off perfectly with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) during the last 2 weeks, 4 weeks of clomid and then 6 weeks of BAC's Avena Sativa. My levels were up to 456 with a free of 21, which it was 7 when I was put on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I dont know what to tell you, but maybe another run of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) ( if nuts are small) followed by clomid will get things going again. Email Swale or visit his website.

Bro I wouldn't add anything on your own. 100mg e2w sounds low, the average dose is 200mg e2w. When the Doc does your tests, it should be done the day before your next injection.

Everything I've read concurs with JohnnyB...

100mg every two weeks will keep you out of the low-range, but most people prefer 100mg/wk or 200mg every two weeks to keep them close to the top of normal.

This is true, but lets get some input to see if we can fix the problem and not just duct tape it.

As I posted above, I was able to get my levels back to mid normal range. I would like to see if we can get him back naturally and not have to use the cyp.

Swale are you around?

I have a scirp now so I'm going to try an bring them up naturally. My insurance pays for it so I'm set, so to speak.

JohnnyB's right--be straight with your doctor. You'll just confuse matters otherwise. If he knows what he's doing, he will be running follow-up labs, to check where the initial dose takes you, in four weeks. Standard starting doses are 75-100mg per week, so you are kind of low at this time as far as that goes. It isn't possible to predict where that dose will take you, hence the follow-up labs in a month. You also want to have your Estradiol checked, and a CBC (to make sure you aren't producing too many RBC's). After you get your T level to where you want it, make sure your E's aren't too high. If so, use Arimidex (at very low dosages to make sure you don't drop E's too far). If your E is okay, but are experiencing the sides of high E, add Nolvadex instead (I no longer recommend Clomid long-term).

Your testes are not going to grow while on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). In fact, try to talk him into small dosages of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) for that.

I don't worry too much about timing of labs with respect to lab tests for the testosterone cypionate shots. A pretty steady serum level is achieved by the time the first month has gone by. It will make a big difference, however, when you do your Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) .

AS we know this is going to be a slow process. As everything regarding medical process usually is. I would love nothing more than to get my hormone level back to normal without the Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). For the time being this will have to do. I went to my doc and he won't give me any anti e's or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) without the endo's advice. I'm still trying to wear him down though. I really believe that off cycle I've been low for at least seven years. Since I was 18. Very slow gains skinny wrist(As small as my sisters) Low sex drive, no morning boners etc. It's amazing how embarrace and chicken I was to go see a doc about it for so long. I think it mostly had to do with lack of understanding on the subject. I really owe these boards alot with regards to learning and understanding my situation. I can talk to my doc about it on the same level and it makes it easier for him to I'm sure.

I can already feel the differece. (maybe its just in my head) But with avena sativa and the cyp this morning I woke with huge morning wood. which is not very common for me(At least off cycle) I'll spare you guys the details with what I did with my girl freind. Its actually nice to see a girl walk by and really appreciate the way she looks and actually get excited. Usually when I see a hot girl walk by I can appreciate the way she looks but never really feel the want in my loins. Any ways I will keep you guys updated with regards to follow up blood test and other such details. Again I'm very greatfull to every body who posts on these boards for giving me the knowledge and the courage to really resolve my situation.

I am quite interested in this because I read all the time about how guys are supposed to have morning wood, etc, but I NEVER have morning wood.

How exactly do you know if you have low test?

My testicles are small as well, they don't really ever "sag". Small wrists?? If that's any indication, yes I have small wrists and ankles. I know libido is the best indication, and to be truthful, I am not horny that often.

Is it possible for a 22 year old to have low test?

Thanks for any advice.

Snake--Your story is a common one, indeed. Try bringing in some medical studies to back up your need for ancillaries--IF you in fact need them--while on HRT.

Snake--Yes, I have a couple of guys on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) who are your age.

I don't know that there is any correlation between wrist size and serum T levels.

It's kind of surprising how many guys are hovering over the Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) Boards when what they really are interested in is HRT.

Well I am starting to get a little worried because I am reading more and more into HRT.

Morning wood is one of the main indicators of "normal" test levels. I swear I NEVER get it.

I remember this one time looongg ago when I woke up and had morning wood and the biggest thing I noticed was my testicles were sagging/hanging BIGTIME!! It felt absolutely great!! I swear my testicles never sag and they feel small all the time. I don't know if this indicates anything, but it seems a bit odd to me.

On the flip side, I do get bad acne, so that makes me wonder if I do in fact have low test?

How exactly do I try to convince the doc to test for my test levels?? I'm only 22 what should I tell him?

Thanks for any advice!

Just tell him what you said about morning wood, also tell him you have a diminished sex drive, you're always tired, can't gain new muscle mass, and put fat on easily.

Tell him you've read that those are possible symptoms of low Test levels......and ask him if he would mind checking your's, just to ease your mind.

Tell him you have discussed your situation with a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) specialist, and you would like to have your hormone levels checked. Well, you have!
