Just starting TRT. First shot done.

Hello, been reading a short time. I had my blood test a couple weeks ago. Had a test level in the low 300's. I'm 40 about to turn 41. I'm 5ft 10in and was 240lbs a month ago. I started cleaning up my diet, but I'm having a hard time staying motivated enough to keep hitting the weights. I have been losing weight and am currently weighing in at 220.
I had the normal symptoms, reduced sex drive, lack of motivation, no energy, even loss of concentration. I hope to turn that around. My goal weight is to get down to 180 pounds and then hopefully put a little muscle on.

I just received my test cypionate, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), and anastrazole .5mg. I'm a little worried because I did not get any instructions with this package.
I have a few question
The HCG prescription says to inject 500 units twice a week. It did not say how much Bac water to add to the 11,000 unit vial? With a insulin syringe is 500 units the same as the syringe markings?
I have no set schedule on when to take the 3 different meds? Is twice a week every 3rd then 4th day?
I will be calling the anti aging place I went thru tomorrow.

I got worked up before I calmed myself, do to fear of the needle, and injected 200mg of test in my quad. It was painless 23 gauge 1.5" needle.

Hey Jake,

Just joined as well. I am supposed to get my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) gear today. My test was in the low 200s. I am 43, 5ft 7in and weigh 215. About 30% bodyfat. Been hitting the gym pretty hard for about 6 months but still have most of the traditional low T symptoms. I have no prior steriod use.

I have been prescribed test cypionate (200ml / week), Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), and anastrazole. I'm supposed to get instructions with my package. Once I have, I will let you know what my instructions say.

Since we are in pretty much the same boat, no reason we can't take this journey together and compare notes along the way. Good luck brother!

Tagged! Thinking about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as well, 37, never done AAS so really considering it or not! Thanks for the share!

TRT will optimize your hormone levels generally wtih out all the side effect of AAS. A small replacement dose can be very beneficial wheras a super theuraputic dose can cause al ot of negative side effects.

do you mean a 10000 unit vial or really an 11000.

lots of videos on this, its basically you inject 1 cc of Ba water into the vial, then draw it all out and put it into another sterile vial and add 9 more CC, now you have 10000 iu of 1000 iu per cc, you will use .5 units per dose

It is a 11,000 unit vial. I called and got some instructions. On the HCG I was told to wait till the 4th week. I was also told to inject 5.5ml into the vial. I was told using the insulin syringe that 25 units would equal 500IU. They want me to start that with 500IU twice a week. I'm supposed to do this one day before the test then 3 days later.

I just did my second shot of 200mg test today. I moved this shot up from Tuesday to Sunday so I will inject the test every Sunday. I plan on weight training Monday thru Friday. I then would have to follow the injection with an anastrozole .5mg once a week on Monday.

There was no mention of having a blood test part way threw to check my levels. Plus I have asked three times for a copy if my blood results and have not received it. What they did say is after two cycles I would have to stop the cycle for a few weeks before continuing which seems wrong. I thought this was for life with low levels.

I'm real new to this and went thru an online clinic or HRT provider. I did not do any research on the company I went thru and I'm a little nervous about that. I would check out the one that is on here. I had hoped to try and turn mine in to the insurance. But with the little paper work I got right now I'm paying out of pocket.

Shoot me a pm! I would be happy to help.

I was right where you are 1 year ago. I was 43..5'8 244 and fat.. I worked out all of my 20s and some in the 30s, but then family took over and i let myself go. I woke up Jan 1 of 2012 and said thats it...I learned about counting calories with an ap on my Iphone and learned that for me, 1600 calories a day along with 30 mins of cardio day resulted in about 1-2 lbs gone every 7 seven days...fast forward 7 months... I went from 244, size 40 in the waist to 181 and a 33 in the waist and could run 5 miles with ease...it was a long road...but its a decision you have to make and stick with. So, I have a friend who is close to getting his Pro card in body bulding...around October of last year i decided to turn my calories around and try to grow some muscle. On his advice, i had my Test checked and it was 300 and my free test was 5. I was able to get a prescription for Test C from the Dr. A DR is probably going to prescribe you 200 every other week. I doubled that and took 200 a week. Quite honestly in the bodybuilding world, that isn't much. I took it for 12 weeks and didn't even take and Aromatose inhibitor. I made some awesome gains in size, and strength. I went from 181 to 205 and I am still 33 inthe waist....put 1 1/2 on my arms and 2 inches on my thighs. I felt 18 again, energy thru the roof (I don't even get to the gym until 930 pm) sex drive was nuts with 19 year old erections. Now, near the end of my 12 week "blast" I started to notice a slight sexual problem with getting off. Had my blood drawn and my Estrogen was up...Took meds for that and everything is back to normal. After 12 weeks of 200 per week of Test C, my T level was 1086 and my free test was 26. I am about to begin a cycle of 400 per week for 12 weeks..I now have Anastrozole and HCG to take this time. All prescribed by the DR. I did have slight Testicular Atrophy, but it caused me no problems...PM if you want and will talk all you want..

I'm right with you. I feel uncomfortable when working do to the weight I have gained. I have been counting calories and I'm eating 1800 calories a day. I stopped exercising about 7 years ago. I was 180 and 12% body fat then. But I was not able to put on any size then. I hope to feel better and maybe put on some muscle. Right now I hope to get down to about 180lbs then I may consider running a 10 week cycle at a higher dose if I can't make the gains I'm looking for.

Congratulations on taking the plunge into testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). I recently started myself. I am heading into my 3rd week of Test cyp. I also used one of the online clinics, but will be switching to a more responsible, (and reasonably priced) doctor when this 10 week supply is gone. The more I learn, the more certain I am that the online guys are not to be trusted.

Best of luck
Bert

You know that really sucks of you, you come in here to our forum, you learn from the most up to date protocols and procedures, you don't use us and then you have the audacity to put us in the same category as these scam clinics out there.

Then you say more reasonably priced? I would love to know who is so much cheaper than us, cause I know the market.

This is what happens to people that don't use the board sponsor, they get ripped off, maybe if you would have used us you wouldn't be in this position. Now stop spreading rumors.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Typical Newb, on testosterone 3 weeks and already knows everything.

and BTW what is a "online clinic"?

Let me let you in on a little secret, if your using a doctor that does not have a website, your doctor is a dinosaur.

really almost the identical boat I was in Im a little taller and weighed 15-20lbs less. But the same exact story. But to the OP. The medication will help give you the motivation but do not think testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) alone is going to solve the weight issue. I kind of had that mistake when I first started and nothing happened, I did stop gaining weight and physique changed some but still a fat ass. Once getting protocol straight I decided to re-look life style and working out. In order to drop weight your going to have to cut calories to the point where you are in a deficit everyday in order to lose weight. From your size in order to weight you probably want to consume around 1500-2000 calories a day depending on your work out. But like big blue counting calories is goign to bea must. I wouldnt focus on weights as your not going to weight there, your going to want to do cardio in order to lose the fat and then you get to where you want start using weights to tone to the bulk and size you wish. You can mix in weights to starts but maybe do low weight high reps, or resistance training. To rely on weights to lose 30-40lbs your going to be at it for a long time

The only thing I would add is remember that the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn when you exercise....I would lean heavy on calorie deficit and heavy on the cardio with a mix of lifting weights. Keep protien high along the way to protect the muscle you have..1 to 1.5 grams of protein of "Lean" body weight...kinda take what you weigh and try to get a close guestimate of your bf% and then you will have you lean body weight and be able to calculate your protein needs. Be concerned with your "macros" or your makeup of calories...you will probably be somewhere around 200 grams of protein, 150 grams of carbs and 70 grams of fat...there are several apps for smartphone that make counting calories easy..such as dailyburntracker or myfitnesspal...they are free....and drink as much water as you can stand at least 1gallon a day. Also rememer to take a good one a day vitamin...remember, you are in a calorie deficit, so you may not be getting all the nutrients you need.

Yep I agree with what you guys are saying. I have been hitting the weights and hope to continue with that. Doing sets with a weight that I can get 20 reps of. Then adding a little weight for 18, 16. I'm getting the heart rate up and not resting to long between sets. I need to be more motivated with the cardio. I'm trying to get 30 minutes in in the morning before I eat. Hopefully I can start doing this 5 days a week too.
I'm tracking calories on my phone and I'm eating around 1800 calories a day sometimes as low as 1500. I know testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) won't make the gains and improvements I want by itself. I'm currently aiming for atleast 180 grams of protein a day. I'm eating celery, cucumbers, cauliflower, ect for snacks and filler. Lots of fish and chicken with whey protein, small meals fairly often. Maybe 6 meals a day.

Hey guys,

New to the forum. Long story short, I used steroids for six years off and on. Stopped using in 2010 and gradually began feeling moody, low libido, low motivation, and suicidal occasionally. I had no clue what was wrong with me for about two years - just thought I was severely depressed due to personal issues. After hours of research, I determined it was almost certainly low T. I don't have medical insurance, but it has to be that. I can't go on living like this any longer. What are my options? I assume I have to resume doing small cycles to regain some semblance of my former self. I really didn't want to use anymore, which is why I stopped. It was fine in my youth, but as I got older it didn't seem nearly as important. But if I have to use again to feel like not hanging myself, that's what I'll do.

Did any of you feel like me? Is this normal of guys with low t??

Did you run PCT's after your cycles?

Get some lab work done to see if you have low T. Read the TRT stickies and you will learn how to get them done cheaply using privatemdlabs.

Since I have started the TRT I have not lost any weight. I changed my diet and have been counting calories. I started this 3 or 4 weeks before the first shot of 200mg test. Tomorrow will be my third shot. I was losing a good amount of weight before. I'm not sure if this is water weight or why I stopped losing weight? If it is muscle gains I will be happy. I'm not sure if I should cut 200 more calories out if my diet or continue for a couple more weeks to see if the weight starts to drop again. Right now I'm eating 1600 to 1800 calories. I was eating more when I lost the first 20lbs before the first shot.
