Ketotifen vs Benadryl for down regulation control..

I have an albuterol prescription 4mg tabs as needed. I use the albuterol when I need to cut or as a performance enhancer. I am concerned about going beyond 2 weeks of use and the possibility of receptor deregulation. My Doc has recently given me a script for Ketotifen. I am learning it is not a common script in the USA in the pill form. Has anyone else found where I could fill this script? If not, does anyone know how much Benadryl should be taken in Order to control the down regulation? Is 25 mg once a day enough Benadryl?? Thank you in advance!!

Benadryl is good for knocking me out but that's about it

Stick to ketotifen for clen/albut -related receptor downregulation issues

That's not always a bad thing, placebo effect can be pretty strong

There's a study showing keto's efficacy (and benadryl's lack thereof) somewhere, I really should start bookmarking these things

yup... i agree..

yea i need to read up on it myself..

Benadryl and keto work by different pathways. They have the same job but they aren't close to a similar drug, its like comparing vicodine to marijuana for pain control. Benadryl is a H-1 blocker while Clenbuterol is a beta-2 adrenergic agonist-hence it works through an entirely differently mechanism.

Thanks Bonexyster. A fast question for any of you. If I can't find a pharmacy to fill my script for the Ketotifen , is the RUI lab reliable and legit? I see it's in liquid form on their website. Is it going to be the same quality that I would get from a regular pharmacy? I'm not trying to insult anyone here. I am just trying to get informed...

No man its a good question and one you shoud ask. I have used their keto (and many other of their rc's) for years. They are of excellent quality, equal to their pharmaceutical counterparts.

Been using rui for almost 3 years and have yet to be disappointed. I am a firm believer in getting blood work to prove things aren't placebo. Their keto is legit.

also use RUI liquid Keto, solid stuff. Typically i'll ramp up the Albuterol 8,12,16,20 over 4 days...then after two weeks, 1mg of Keto per night...after 4 weeks, cycle down....20,16,12,8, then stop the Keto a couple days after.

Wow this is the first time Im seeing that benadryl DOESNT work. Everywhere you look its either benadryl or keto both work.

Lillywhites, I was going to try something very similar. Do you think you DONT have to take the Keto until the two week mark? Is there any advantage to taking it from the beginning?

All Im going to do is ask one question.
If your taking keto to PREVENT b2 receptor downregulation, why would you wait until you are downregulated to take it???

Down-regulation

I Guess that was my question too. It does make more sense to take the Keto the entire time then, unless someone has an argument against it???
