Kidney problems w/ Steroids??

Hey gang, quick question...

I received the majority of my gear. Just waiting on my Arimidex but, once that arrives (any day now), I'm all set to start which I've been very eager to do.

Over the past few months I'd been having back pain and a lousy pee stream. My concern was a kidney stone or possibly a prostate issue. So I went to my urologist because I wanted to find out before starting my cycle. In all my research, I've read that T can enlarge the prostate slightly so I wanted to make sure there wasn't already an issue.

Anyway, today, I found out that I have a kidney stone. Doctor also told me that, based on my blood work, my creatinine (sp?) level was high and indicated my kidney's aren't functioning at their best so he wants me to go and see a Nephrologist (kidney specialist).

I guess my question is, does anyone know if a cycle of T can have adverse effects on the kidneys? I'd really like to start my cycle now but I'm guessing I should wait until after I see the Nephrologist?

Quite honestly, I'd probably start my cycle anyway but, I'm concerned the doctors will discover I'm using T if they run more blood work on me.

Think I should wait?

personally, I'd wait and get my health issues straight first.
Also if aas gives issues with dht then it is possible that it can affect the prostate. Because most prostate problems are dht related. However I have no idea as to what extent they affect the prostate. All I know is that's why I take propecia, for my scalp and dht related issues.
Not to be rude but I'm wondering how old you may be since you may be having prostate issues. Assuming it is dht related.
The pros will answer this far better than I.
Be patient.

sorry I guess you didn't actually say you were having prostate issues. I guess you said it was kidney, My mistake.

No problem. Yeah, it's not a prostate issue. My prostate is fine. It's the kidney stone that is causing the pain and problem with my flow. What's concerning is that the doc told me the my creatinine level was 1.47 (average high range is 1.27) which indicates that my kidney is not functioning well.

I would wait until you figure out whats going on....

If you do decide to go ahead with the cycle, I would def not consider orals @ all

Pickup a tub of Milk thistle and drink plenty of water...

Wait..don't fack with your health/kidney....find out whats what first...

drink 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day.

creatinine, (yes you spelled it correctly) is a by product of creatine phoshate, so it could be too high if you are taking creatine or other supplements. Obviously, don't start your cycle until testing is complete. Drink plenty of fluids, and cranberry juice or extract is thought to be good for the kidneys also.

creatinine is normal metabolite in a fluctuent level in urine, it can be highter sometime independently of steroids, its frequent to a large amount of creatinine with people who are eating to mush red-flesh...

steroids extend the maount of metabolite in urine. BTW without taking creatine, creatinine could easy reach the natural limit aswel without making sports.

AAS increase all metabolite. that's the reason we make frequently blood-test.

I wouldnt be as worried about the Steroids as i would the extra protein youre gonna be consuming while on a cycle. If your kidneys arent functioning at 100% then that extra protein will be hard on them let alone the gear your taking. And if you cant consume large amounts of protein, why bother cycling?

I wouldnt even bother till your healthy.

Did he mention CPK? creatine phosphokinase? Was your creatinine the only one out of the ref range? No mention of BUN?

Kidney health is valuated by 4 tests. Albumin, Creatinine, Bun, and Globulin. If any of these are out of the norm then you might be having some kind of kidney problem. Then again you also might be a body builder who eats a shit load of meat, takes creatine, and has hugh muscle turnover all of which can effect you kidneys. Also being dehydrated effects kidneys. Did they have you do a 24hour piss test? Did they do a ultrasound?

Steroids and not just orals can raise your albumin lvls.

Best to get it all worked out before you jump on the juice.
